The Question is, did George Bush try to kill the first African Latino President in South America and "re- enslave" his people? If so, why? If this was done and the American people did not know about it and approve it, is it treason or otherwise against American law?
I wrote this back in 2002 but did not publish it. I thought today "Columbus day", was an appropriate time to revisit this indigenous people of Turtle Island issue. We should move to replace the Culturally unhealthy Columbus day with Native American day honoring our first citizens. This would begin to heal America's World War Zero crimes against humanity. Acknowledging our original sins is a minimum for moving our country forward beyond tolerance to harmony.

In School, I learned that the Pilgrims had black hats and gold shinny buckles and sat down and had a wonderful meal with their friends the Native Americans in 1621. I thought this was the way things looked, because this is what my teachers and parents told me. This is not like Christmas, they wouldn't lie about this would they?
I was in middle age, before I learned that this was not the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help my teacher’s God. I would not say they “lied”, however, the Europeans that were invading Turtle Island did not have cloths as described. They whore much less flamboyant plain everyday work cloths. In addition, most Native Americans would tell you that these were not the friendliest folks that ever landed on Turtle Island.
Historians Joel A. Rogers, Dr. Rev. Ishakamusa Barashango and others report that 44 of the Pilgrims died in their first winter in America due to laziness and mental illness. Further, they report that not only did they fail to take the advice of the Native Americans regarding planting and providing for themselves. They actually stole corn from, killed and would eat the Native Americans and each other.

See the following quote from Captain John Smith (1580-1631) "So great was our famine that a savage we slew and buried, the poorer sort took him up again and ate him; and so did divers ones another boiled and stewed with herbs. And one amongst the rest did kill his wife, powdered her and had eaten part of her."
So what is the real story of Thanksgiving? Did European Americans eat with Native Americans or did European Americans eat Native Americans?
In Closing, let me point out that the reason for informing you about the "The Two Stories of Thanksgiving", is to cause all Americans to think more deeply about this important American holiday. Should we stop celebrating Thanksgiving, No! Thanksgiving should and can be a Culturally Healthy event. As a general proposition families getting together to celebrate family unity, and the harvests of family and friends for the year, is a good thing.
However, we must have an accurate picture of the past, if Ma'at (Truth, balance) is to be served in the present and the future. So the bigger question is, what stories do we tell our children, regarding early American relationships to Native Americans. This holiday is a time to ask ( or re-ask) ourselves, What is, and what ought to be, our political, social and spiritual relationship to Native Americans?

Our (Americans) relationship to our Native American brothers and sisters has not been Culturally Healthy. Dr. Ivan van Sertima (26 January 1935 - 25 May 2009 ) Cultural Soldier, historian, linguist and anthropologist at Rutgers University, NJ, USA. We will miss our brother in arms in the Cultural War as he transitions from this earthly plane and we thank him for his contributions.
I read and have most of his books from my first, They Came Before Columbus. I first heard him on Imhotep Gary Bird's radio show in New York City and went down to the Liberation book store in Harlem and got a copy the book about Blacks in America before Columbus, that nobody mentioned in school. Wow, I remember thinking the stone carvings he presented in his book looked just like any brother on 125th Street. For me, the African presence in America was established after reading this book.
The best tribute to the honorable Sesh (teacher in Metu Neter) Dr. V, is to listen to him and absorb his work on your Cultural Literacy journey.

The good news is, that before the Internet, unless you lived in an African Cultural Center in America, it might be hard to be exposed to Dr. V's work. Now you have access to CyberSpace, use it, each one teach one.
I am looking at my bookshelf at the other books of his that are my favorites, Egypt Revisited, Great African Thinkers-Cheikh Anta Diop, Black Women in Antiquity and African Presence in Early Asia. Last but not least I am looking at some of the copies of the Cultural Soldier's professional journal, Dr. V's Journal of African Civilizations from which I learned much.
As I close, I am listening to my friend and neighbor Dr. Jeffries on Imhotep's radio show. He talking about the Great ancestors Dr. Clarke and Dr. Ben and reminding us that Dr. V was part of the next generation of scholars. He continued carrying forward the Cultural Literacy tradition of resurrecting and restoring Classical African Civilization, Kemet (Ancient Egypt) by alerting us to their contributions here in early America.

This article is designed to promote improved Cultural literacy by highlighting two of the greatest modern experts on Ancient American history. One is an African American and the other a European American that make interesting cultural health book ends for this subject matter. Naturally, the indigenous people of Turtle Island who sit in the middle of these two book ends are the source of the new information that is producing the remarkable rewriting of Ancient American History.
On the left is an African in Ancient America. On the Right is an African in Africa. Dr. Van Sertima has many pictures in his book They Came Before Columbus, African Presence in Ancient America. I wrote about our honorable ancestor in this blog in may on the occasion of his passing.
You will note in the video, that is part of the above link, a mention of the Top of the head. You find traditional African hair on some of the Mega African heads. The helmet on the African in the video was claimed to be a foot ball helmet by some Western "archeologist", but was later found to be common African sailing helmets. Last you are taken to a studio filled with African remain found here in the America's. Dr. V's case rests on solid evidence.
The other book end to the controversy raised in America by Dr. V's book is Dr. Barry Fell of Harvard. His book American B.C. is another eye opener that lets us peep in a most remarkable window on Ancient American history. Most memorable to me is Dr. Fell's Ancient American map P4, showing the places in north American where Metu Neter (Greek name hieroglyphics) from Classical African Civilization, Kemet (Ancient Egypt) have been found. Also see page 253-257. He also has a chapter on what I call the African Kings and Queens of New England.

This is a great scholar and he and his society will bear watching by all those interesting in Ancient American history in general and by the Black world community in particular.
This information is presented with the understanding that there is much controversy among Western schools of thought on the matter. The Cultural Terrorists are hard at work trying to maintain the myth that Africans never left the continent of Africa. Cultural poisoning that the Western "experts" use to perpetuate this myth, like the enslavement of Africans on this continent will fall of its own weight.

We know that Bush's Cultural illiteracy and that of most Americans enabled his government's ill conceived attack on Iraq. Do you think bush and the American people have sufficient Cultural Literacy to conduct his "Indian" war.
Bush and the anti-humanist Republicans have caused the restart of the “Indian” War in America. During King George’s rein the Lakota “Indians” declare their formal separation from the United States of America.
Modern day decedents of the indigenous greats like Sitting Bull and Crazy Horse of Turtle Island, commonly known today as America, re-declare their freedom and seventy.
This declaration of unilateral preemptive withdrawal from unjustly imposed United States treaties was delivered to the U.S. State Department earlier this week. The Newly energize Lakota Nation declared that 33 treaties have been broken. To my surprise, there were no media reports of any mention of the other 300 or so “Indian”/American treaties that seem to be hidden in the basement of the U.S. Congress.
This action puts the status of northern Turtle Island (The Dakotas, Nebraska, Montana and Wyoming) back into dispute. We can assume from this action that the Lakota Nation will not be adapting the new Bush concentration champ cards (“National ID Card”), as they will be providing their citizens with their own drivers licenses and passports.
As I reflect on what has happened from a Cultural Health point of view, the words that come to mind are – Talk about chickens coming home to roost --. Was it not Bush, who unilaterally withdrew from international treaties. Seceded from the United Nations and unilaterally preemptively attacked Iraq. Was it not Bush and the anti-humanist republicans, who attacked African Americans by suppressing 1 million plus votes. Was it not the now disgraced, lawless Republican Supreme Court, that declared, that all American votes will no longer be counted. Is it not Bush’s government, that is building walls and turning a blind eye to Latino American and Arab American harassment?
Remember the drowning Blacks, Latinos, Native and other Americans, while Dr. Rice went shoe shopping and Bush stayed on vacation. Remember out of control police and the record breaking rise in police brutality with these new electronic wipes (tasers) Native Americans watch African American progress rolled back with the Republican/Libertarian reversion to European American Affirmative Action. From Juliani’s New York to LA. We see police shooting Blacks 20 to 50 times with no justice, or Jena 6 Justice.
Bush was part of baseball leadership that perpetuated the culturally poisoned denigration of Native Americans with “mascots”. Right in his back yard the Boston “Red Skins” sit, and he has not raised one, single, word of moral outrage. Not to mention, White House connected Republicans (now convicted criminals) banding together to continue to steal the Native Americans blind on his watch.
Speaking of “chickens coming home to roost” What should we Americans due about all this. If we put our heads in the sand, or fall asleep at the switch, while bush and the crime family rob our treasury blind, kidnap and torture human beings at will and generally tear up the only thing that holds all of us ethnic Americans together, the constitution. Then as oldfogy said, “…we are, I am afraid, selling ourselves to the Devil and he may be collecting soon…”
The wheels have come off Iraq a long time ago, they are now coming of America. First our economic wheels start getting wobbly with the dollar sinking like a rock and the mortgage bubble about to blow up into recession. In addition, Bush made the social wheels wobblier then they need to be by attacking African and Latino Americans and putting them in voting cages. Now this, with the Native Americans, I respectfully suggest, that the few of us Humanist Americans left, circle the wagons, impeach Cheney and open negotiations with our brothers and sister of the Lakota Nation.
