World's Oldest Man Dies at 114

Hetep and Respect Mr. Walter Breuning. congratulations on your longevity and showing us elders how it's done. I plan to beat your time by six years.

Readers when do you plan to die? I know it's an odd question for many but think about it. You plan to buy a car, get married buy a house which, is more important?

I took time and read the whole piece this time it is always amazing to hear the wisdom of the elders.

"Everybody says your mind is the most important thing about your body. Your mind and your body. You keep both busy, and by God you'll be here a long time," he said.

I surly take that to hart, I try to give my mind body and spirit a workout everyday.

If Mr. Breuning was the oldest man at 114 and the oldest woman in GA born 26 years earlier, that makes her 140, wow. Did I get the math right? Another inspiration. That means my beating Elder Breuning by six years should be a piece of cake. lol.

He took no meds, that is another good hint at staying healthy.

I would also add 8hr's sleep, night.

Here's the world's oldest man's secret to a long life:

— Embrace change, even when the change slaps you in the face. ("Every change is good.")

— Eat two meals a day ("That's all you need.")

— Work as long as you can ("That money's going to come in handy.")

— Help others ("The more you do for others, the better shape you're in.")

Then there's the hardest part.

Michelle Obama and Jill Biden Join Forces to Support Military Family's

First Lady Michelle Obama and Dr. Jill Biden today launched the  Join Forces campaign encouraging Americans to take ACTION in support of our military family's. (video)

This is an important project launched by the first lady's that did not get the coverage in the media that it should have. They are to busy talking about the Republican "Budget". Every American should do what we can for America's military family's.

LET'S GO TO THE VIDEO TAPE

I served in the military during the Vietnam Era and did my job without asking for thanks. However, it would have been nice to hear someone say thank you at least to my family. Click the Whitehouse web page for this initiative, to find out what you can do. If not you then who.

I sent my message to military families and asked my facebook, twitter friends and readers to do the same. When I am at the Veterans Administration I will make a point of telling a vet, currently serving soldier, VA staff person, or Doctor thank you for their service or a thank you to those who serve them. I often see family members helping an elderly Vet at the VA. I will especially look for and thank them.

Thank you first lady's for activating this thank you that was always there for our military family's and providing a way to deliver it.

Pandora App Sending 'Mass Quantities' of Personal Data to Ad Networks

Data Security

Is your Pandora app transmitting more than the latest hits? Internet security company Veracode conducted an investigation recently and found that the Pandora Android app is transmitting things like user location, gender, birthday, and postal code information to third-party ad networks.

"Your personal information is being transmitted to advertising agencies in mass quantities," Veracode wrote in a blog post. "As more and more 'free' applications attempt to monetize their offerings, we will likely see more of your personal information being shuttled out to marketing and advertising data aggregation firms."

Veracode was inspired to test out the app aft

Veracode was inspired to test out the app after Pandora revealed that it was served with a grand jury subpoena related to an investigation about the security of mobile apps. Pandora said in a regulatory filing that it was not a specific target of the investigation, but believes that similar subpoenas were issued "on an industry-wide basis" to other companies that produce smartphone apps.

As a result, Veracode decided to analyze the Android version of the Pandora app, and found libraries from five ad networks bundled into the app: AdMarvel, AdMob, comScore (SecureStudies), Google.Ads, and Medialets.

China's First Human Space Flight

While the Republicans are distracting Americans from the Task our President set for the 21st Century of - Winning The Future- our Chinese brothers are busy. They are also investing in Africa

The world is moving forward while Republicans are trying to move our country backwards.

We need to throw the Republicans let's shut down government, prevent the rich from contributing their fair share to America's future types, out of all political positions in the nation.

The Chinese are working on their moon shot and that is good. We need to be working on our Green moon shot to ensure our future.

Asia's star burns ever brighter in space
BEIJING — Asia's extraterrestrial ambitions have rocketed from nowhere in the 50 years since the first human space flight, with China shooting for the moon while India and Japan fuel up their own programmes.
Since China in 2003 became the world's third nation to put a man in space independently, after the United States and Russia, its manned space flight programme has earned worldwide attention.
In October, it launched its second lunar probe Chang'e-2 -- the next step in a bold programme to become the second country to put a man on the moon. Beijing also plans to build its own space station.

Libya: Africans Agree on Cease-fire

The question is while the African Union representing the continent has gained an agreement on the continent's road map to peace, will the West respect it.

I support the President but, I believe his involving the United States in the Libyan Civil War was a cultural risk of the highest magnitude. The red, black and green flag of the "rebels" is not the Black liberation flag that many mistakenly believed. It is the flag, with its religious symbol, of violent religious cultural terrorists. It is not in the West's interest to have these religious extremests take control of a secular African country and turn it into a theocracy.

The President has what he asked for, a no-fly zone in the air and a cease-fire on the ground. Mass murder of civilians has been averted and the Africans are now managing the diplomatic road map on the ground.

This is a Kennedy Bay of Pigs decision moment Mr. President. The Chinese have a War ship off the coast of Africa. This is a good opportunity put a hold on the French, declare objectives met and let the Africans go back to managing their affairs on their own continent.

I love my African brothers and would like to help them some more however, we have our own challenges after Bush and the forty thieves bankrupt our nation. We have our own right wing religious extremests trying to destroy our country. We have a FUTURE TO WIN back here in America, and jobs to create and miles to go before we sleep.

Libya: Gaddafi government accepts peace plan, says Zuma

South African President Jacob Zuma says the Libyan government has accepted an African Union peace plan to end the eight-week-old conflict.
Mr Zuma and three other African leaders met Libya's leader, Col Muammar Gaddafi, in Tripoli on Sunday. An AU team is now going on to the eastern rebel stronghold of Benghazi.
The African Union's road map calls for an immediate cease-fire, opening channels for humanitarian aid and talks between the rebels and the government.
"The brother leader [Col Gaddafi] delegation has accepted the roadmap as presented by us," Mr Zuma declared.
"We have to give the ceasefire a chance," he said, after several hours of talks.
The details of the plan would be set out later in a statement, Mr Zuma said.

African Thinking on Libya is Not What You Think

We see a lot of news here in the United States about what Americans think about the Libya situation. But what has been noticeably missing from the news we see is, what do Africans think about the attack on their continent by the West (Video).

The first thing we need to understand about the Libyan situation is, that while 13 western countries including NATO, the UN security council (not all of the UN) and the Arab league have generally agreed more or less to a limited Libya No Fly Zone action, The African Union (AU) is opposed to this No Fly Zone Action.

African Union (AU) The 53 States representing the continent
I did an earlier piece on the President's explanation for his actions and what African Americans were thinking about Libya and the potential cultural consequences of attacking Africa.

Here is one of the few early Western reports that even mentions the African's view, Voice of America. Keep in mind who pays for VOA and its purpose in the world. Now lets find out what Africans think from Africans.

Let's Go To The Video Tape.

After watching this, only because of Cyberspace and YouTube and the fact that information can no longer be blocked, it struck me, growing up I never remember seeing Africans meeting to discuss continental issues on American TV. Before the AU there was the OAU but it is safe to say that, as a result of enforced Cultural Illiteracy, 90% of Americans never heard of these African leadership groups.

Talk about a little known Cultural Literacy fact, flying the insurgent King's flag is to an African Libyan, is what flying the Confederate flag is to an African American.

Speaking of Cultural Literacy let us listen to a member nation of the African Union in the person of the President of Uganda Yoweri Kaguta Museveni. He will lay out for us a little history, his analysis of the situation and his recommendations for action steps moving forward.

Did you hear Yoweri Museveni say that the Libyan flag is green and the insurgent flag is red, black and green (not African liberation colors) but the colors of the former Western puppet King. Further he points out that Kadhafi is a secular Nationalist, a Pan African leader. You will note from the link that their is no religious symbol on the Libyan flag, but there is one on the insurgent flag.

Now I am not an expert but just from the flags there seems to be a dramatic cultural difference in Civil War. The insurgents seem to be, as I suspected, religious extremest who are not independent minded Pan Africanist. They have the old king's flag called, Westerners to invade the continent and are already beholding to the West as they try to sit on the part of the country with the oil that the West wants to regain control of.

Well one thing is for sure, this is not the type of analysis that the wolf on CNN or any corporate media is going to present for your consideration.

After hearing the Africans on the ground I am less supportive of our President's actions. Time will tell. In the meantime keep your ears open for all sides of this continuing continental cultural crisis.
