Pelosi Passes Health Care Reform 220-215 (Video)

Tonight was a historic night for the Democrats and the American people. Nancy Pelosi will go down in history as one of the greatest Speakers of the House.

I watched this most remarkable process. I get CNN who had odd spotty coverage. But I was luckily able to get MSNBC on the net and they had a live video stream (uninterrupted) on the floor of the house which was the way to see this historic vote.

Let me first thank my senators and congressman and the Democratic congress in general for the moral courage to do what they were elected to do. And let me thank all the people who made those calls and sent those Emails and protested at the insurance companies. Let me thank Michael Moore’s SickO for helping us compare “Health” Care in civilized nations vs. the Sick Care for profit we have here in America. The Movie John Q was also helpful in showing the dirty tricks departments of hospitals, employers and insurance companies against the working American.

Let me thank Dr. Linda Peeno for her testimony before congress regarding being hired to cause the death of insurance company customers. Thank you to all the Americans who came forward to talk about their personal stories and the impact they want reform to have on the lives of their fellow citizens. Olbermann’s show where he talks about his parents and friends health challenges, and health reform as a right to life, is a good example of the people coming forward and telling their own stories.

I was not happy when Pelosi refused to bring Bush and the forty thieves to trial. I was not happy when she took Single Payer off the table. But if this is what it took to win this close vote then all is forgiven.

Thanks to the one Republican, Ahn “Joseph” Cao of Louisiana, with the courage to vote for human rights over profit rights. This was not just a physical health victory for America, it was another national Cultural Health victory that keeps our ship of state on a proper heading toward the moral high ground of that distant port.

The AA Mayor of The Town That "Arrested" Dr. Gates, Wants to See the Cop and His Boss.

The African American Mayor, the ultimate boss, in the town where the rogue cop arrested Dr. Gates says "race" has been a historic factor in police interaction with African Americans and Latino Americans. She wants to see officer Crowley and his boss.

Mayor E. Denise Simmons indicates that she is not happy regarding the safety of the citizens in her town. She has launched an investigation and wants to understand what happened, how it happened and how it can be prevented in the future. The Mayor wants to see Policeman James Crowley, his boss and his boss's boss.

Talk about out of the fire, into the frying pan. Imagine that you are a rogue anti-humanist cop that has been hiding in the police force. After verbally abusing , assaulting and unlawfully imprisoning a law abiding Harvard Professor. You find that this citizen is a personal friend of the first AA President, who is also a graduate of Harvard. It dawns on you that the POTUS is a lawyer and probably knows Cambridge law better then you.

Then you go to the prosecutor, who would historically defend rogue cops and he says (I imagine) you arrested who, for what? in his home. Get the ell out of here. You think I am going to burn down my career for your stupid a$$, drop the charges, get out of my office, what are you the Joe the Plumber of cops?

A shot has been fired over the heads of out of control bad cops. The question is, what will they, and we the citizens of this forward moving country learn from this incident?

Cultural Caveat: Dr. (Skip) Gates is also known in some quarters of the African American community as skip the truth Gates for his skipping Classical African Civilization, Kemet (Ancient Egypt) in his African TV tour/history documentary. Gates is married to a Non-AA and considers himself 57% white (according to his DNA).

Black History Month 101 2009

Malcolm X at Queens CourtImage via Wikipedia

Lawson State Community College students have used modern technology to put up a self paced picture interface to BHM basic cultural literacy. Try this simple but comprehensive learning aid out.

LSCC Black History Links: "Below are links that will enrich your knowledge of the past, present, and selfless contributions made by just a FEW of our MANY great African Americans. As you read the wealth of information on this page, think about how our world would be today without the contributions. Also, recognize the unbending focus and intensity of their efforts despite repeated rejections and unfulfilled expectations. We must continue to remember and respect our heritage by never saying good-bye to yesterday, for we are still standing on their shoulders—yesterday made our present possible . . ."

Question: There are three Cultural Soldiers in the picture list, can you pick them out?

Obama and McCain Tied with White Voters

McCain holds a statistically significant advantage only among white evangelical Protestants (aside from Republicans). In addition, Obama runs nearly even with McCain in the so-called red states, all of which George W. Bush won in 2004.

Who would have thought that the European American vote would be tied. If this holds it means the ethnic votes we have been looking at in the early part of this Political Cultural Health Index series will carry the day.

For raw number details Click Here

Let's take a moment to think about this in the context of the Political Cultural Health Index (PCH Index) the PCH Index is a measurement I am constructing and adding to the language of Cultural Health so that we might more efficiently think about the dynamics of "race" in Political elections.

The historic election of 2008 is the first time since the 1960's that their is an opportunity to present and benchmark the realities associated with the PCH Index. How does it work? When Jesse Jackson Sr, an African American, ran for the Democratic presidential nomination in 1984 and 1988 , only 14% of Mississippi voters voted for him. This fact would allow one to conclude that the PCH Index for the state of Mississippi is 14%. Said another way, the largest number of people in that demographic that have demonstrated that they would vote for an African American for president is 14% of those that voted.

Naturally, we can expand this example state by state to the nation. A number of other African Americans have run for the highest office in the land but Barack Obama is the first of his ethnic group to have a realistic chance to win the super job interview.

The PCH Index has a demographic side and it has a psychographic side that can apply to individual ethnic groups.

So in this poll 44% of White voters are for Obama and 44% are for McCain. This would indicate that the European American PCH Index is at an all time high. The question is will it hold? If the race is close Obama will lose. The Republican voter suppression tactics and the Cultural Poisoning effect will upset the election. The Cultural Poisoning effect (Bradly effect) is the historic reality that describes Whites saying they will vote for a Black person, until they get in the voting booth.

This Oregon rally of 75,000 does not look like a tie but the polls say so

Today conventional wisdom in the MSM are discounting both Republican voter suppression and the Cultural Poisoning effect. They are saying it is all over but the shouting and Obama and the Democrats will win in a landslide.

What is troubling about this, is the old saying, "if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is". This applies to matters of Cultural Health and voting too. Most of the pundits say Obama will win and possibly blow it out. The trouble with this is, that the one group that has been consistently wrong in the primary contests of both parties is the pundits.

Obama's Global and Local Disability Plan

Compare Obama's comprehensive approach to improving life for the disabled and all of us,globally and locally, to McCain's narrow view. The United Nations has a role and Universal Sick Care helps everyone. (Video)

Back Against the Wall Palin Plays the "Race" Card.

With his political back against the wall, McCain orders Palin to play the "race" Card. One more bad judgment that will backfire and punch another hole in McCain's erratic dance card.

Let's Go to The Video Tape

"Our opponent ... is someone who sees America, it seems, as being so imperfect, imperfect enough, that he's palling around with terrorists who would target their own country,"

She has also said:
"This is not a man who sees America like you and I see America,"

We know code when we hear it
. The implication is you know you can't trust "these people" (my opponent) they don't love America like we do. They might even attack it. In this clip note that Obama is talking about my number one issue Health Care and McCain/Palin has exchanged the word Willie Horton for the word "Terrorist". Palin just like in Orwell's 1984, She is trying to feed the American people two minutes of hate.

Obama points out, in a nice way, that McCain's folks say they are turning the page on the economy that the Bush/McCain forty thieves ran into the ground. Instead they will be working on fear and hate through the politics of personal destruction.

When Biden tied McCain to Bush she accused him of "focusing on the past", this naturally is bad depending on who's ox gets gored. So much for Palin's integrity and her Cultural Health.

McCain now feeling cornered like a boxer who survived a knock out blow, is on his feet, but has reverted to his original fighting style. Pay close attention in this final round, will the real McCain consume the "good" McCain.

believe it or not, the photo above is of a train interior in japan.

with the results looking nicer than most nurseries, the japanese

level with these 2 beauties, both designed by eiji mitooka. he was the
artistic force behind ‘omoden’ (toy train) and ‘ichigo ec’ (strawberry

James Brown Dies Black – and Proud

I grew up in the Jams Brown era and my favorite songs are - Say it Loud, I’m Black and I’m Proud and I Feel Good. My favorite part of the second song goes something like this (loud shocking voice) “Ahhhhhhhh! I feel good”. From time to time I have been responsible for people and significant numbers of computers. I have been known to have this few second feel good audio clip, added to the start up file of the Personal Computers. So, literally, as the PC is turned on in the morning, the user is greeted with – I FEEL GOOD! –. I believe JB the humanist, would have approved of making computers feel good too.

That is what James Brown did, make people feel good with his powerful musical energy. He put the UNK in funk!

Al Sharpton said. "What James Brown was to music in terms of soul and hip-hop, rap, all of that, is what Bach was to classical music.

December 25 Christmas morning, I was shocked like everyone else who heard the news of brother Brown’s transitioning. I passed the word to my family at home as I saw them in the morning and JB was remembered around the Christmas dinner table. My brother in-law Professor Vega was their expanding my Cultural Literacy as usual, making sure I understood the larger context of I’m Black and I’m Proud. He said, Black and Proud came out when the Civil Rights Legislation was coming into existence, which, lead to African Americans going to collages in greater numbers. This was the dawn of the Black studies programs and a new consciousness in our people. His words took me back to Dr. King and Malcolm and all that was going on back then.

IMHO JB was the musical artist with the greatest Cultural Health impact in the history of America. In 1968 he released the national hit I’m Black and I’m Proud. What a cultural milestone, before his song, African Americans were Colored or Negroes, after his song we were Black and proud.

To understand the important of that one song, you have to understand that the concept of Blackness had been beaten out of Black people here in America for more then four hundred years. You remember the TV movie Roots, (that we can no longer see on TV) where the European enslaver beat an enslaved African near to death, to make him give up is African name and take on a European name. Cultural terrorists systematically and effectively deleted African names and the very concept of ancestral pride in Blackness. The Cultural Poisoning Program “Negro” replaced the great history, worldview and pride of the people formally known as Black People.

The legacy of our ancestors who first brought the word Black into recorded history during Classical African Civilization had been erased from the minds of Africans in America. In fact, for one Black person to call another Black was occasion for a fight. In the sixties you could still here the symptoms of Cultural Poisoning from Great American leaders like Dr. King. It was common to here him refer to himself and his people as Negroes.

The Image Poisoning in Black people was so great, it was said, that all the kings horses and all the kings men could not put it back together again. And here comes James Brown, with one song he deleted the Culturally Poisoned “Negro” Program from the minds of men, and restored the more culturally healthy Black program. What is truly remarkable is that he did this not just for his own people but also for all Americans and the world. This was a cultural feat unmatched in the history of music by any musical artist.

Yes, we now mark the transition of our honorable ancestor, who was given the name Brown, but died Black and proud. Thank you my brother.

A Girl Like Me

A Girl Like Me

A Girl Like Me is the most remarkable 21st Century example of Cultural Poisoning I have seen to date. It was created by 17 year old Kiri Davis as a YMCA film project.

WARNING! This is not easy to watch.

Put your antenna up and turn on your cultural health RaceDar on. If you really want to know the Cultural Health of Adults, the most direct approach is to ask the children. Adults have language and filters to hide the truth. Children have not yet developed these filters and as you know are startlingly direct in their answers. The bad news is that Cultural Poising exists. The Good news is that it can be cured with cultural Literacy.

The Parents of these children did not know the answer to the question, what makes you Black? Therefore they could not pass it on to their children as this film demonstrates. There is one young lady in this film that has awareness of Classical African Civilization, Kemet (Ancient Egypt), can you tell who it is? The chain of Cultural Poisoning must be broken by you, for if not you, then who?
