The Obama Kwanzaa Series Day 6 of 7 2009
Call: Habari Gani
Response:_________?
6. KUUMBA (Creativity) [koo-OOM-bah]
To do always as much as we can, in the way we can, in order to leave our community more beautiful and beneficial than we inherited it.
As it is our tradition, we look to Classical African Civilization, Kamet (Ancient Egypt) for a sound understanding of this principle. The oldest Kemetic monument demonstrating creativity is Harmaketh (What the Greeks called the Sphinx) which has been standing some 12,000 years now. The secret of Harmaketh is a powerful tool to those who know it. The Great African Pyramids built by the father, son and grand son at Giza, are the only one of the original seven wonders of the world still standing. To this day no one has demonstrated the creativity to build such buildings. Last but not least is the Ankh, used by the ancient ones as both a symbol and a model and handed down to use are a reminder of our legacy.
Let us fast forward to the present for a minute.
I recently met a young AA woman at my son's house, she noticed that on my cloths there were a number of Ankhs. She asked me if I was the Ankh man. I told her that it was part of my African name, Nuu Ma'at Aunk. My daughter told her that her name was AunkT (T- is the feminine form in Metu Neter). I was struck by the power and pride in my daughters voice as she spoke. To our surprise, the young lady proclaimed that she has an Ankh tattoo. My daughter asked her where she had it and the young lady pulled back her hair to revealed a beautiful Ankh on her neck.
I asked her what caused her to get the Ankh Tattoo? She said that when she was eighteen she just decided. I have had this experience many times with young people. I told her that it was her ancestral memory kicking in, and as she learns about the Ankh, it will server her and her children well all the days of her life.
Now we will rewind one last time.
The Judgment of Ausar (Who the Greeks called Osiris)
Cultural Literacy Warning: The Culturally Poisoned name "Book of the Dead" (used by Arab grave robbers to describe the Kamitic scriptures) is used in the title of the video please disregard. Dr. Amen reconstituted the proper name as Nuk Au Neter.
What you have seen in this video is a reasonable introduction to Kamitic creativity regarding African Cosmologics as represented in the most famous Kamitic painting. However, the music and some of the language must be taken with a Cultural Health grain of salt.
Back here in the present, the matter at hand is Obama's creativity. As a multi-ethnic person left on his own to figure our his legacy and mission in life, he certainly had to be creative to come to the clear Culturally Healthy African American understanding that he now demonstrates.
His historic campaign is a remarkable exercise in both Cultural and Political creativity that will be studied in all times by all peoples.
In his first year the President took the Republican legal dirty tricks out of the equal pay for women's equal work implementation. Got Health Care for millions of American children that did not have it before. and Last but not least, he is the first of seven Presidents that have tried to get health reform, to actually get a Health Reform bill passed by both houses of congress.
Well, I would say the President gets an "A" for first year creativity. I think it is fair to say, that he has been a better creativity role model for our community then many popular AA personality's like Tiger Woods.
What do you think?

The Obama Kwanzaa Series Day 5 of 7 2009
Call Habari Gani
Response_________?
5. NIA (Purpose) [NEE-ah]
To make our collective vocation the building and developing of our community in order to restore our people to their traditional greatness.
Today there are more than two billion people in the global Black community. To understand this ethnic group and its purpose we must go back, way back, back to the beginning of human kind in history. Our scientists tell us that the oldest people known to exist on the planet are found in Africa. Kemetologists, some archaeologist and our cosmological leaders tell us that Classical African Civilization, Kemet, (Ancient Egypt) was among the first if not the first civilizations in recorded history.
Black Africans Built and Ruled Ancient Kemet, we have their pictures and words as factual evidence.
Speaking of “building”, it is in Kemet that we find the only one of the original Seven Wonders of the World still standing the African Pyramids. The holiday season in America is full of Cultural Poisoning on TV. Most Americans have seen movies like The Ten Commandments or Cleopatra where Hollywood misrepresents the ethnicity of the people of Classical African Civilization in Kemet and Canaan. We must be sure to give our children and those of good will the antidote reminding them of NIA, and of the great monuments our ancestors erected in their communities as tools that still instruct our purpose to this day.
The Obama Vocation, “Community Organizer”/ builder is an honorable profession. The effective humanist do not just talk good, but do good everyday for the least among us. I think his track record as a community man qualifies him on this principle of NIA.
But let us now turn to his and our future as Africans in America. Kemet had Golden ages and Intermediate periods (times of Chaos). So it is the case in all civilizations including here in America. Obama has taken office in a time of American Chaos. In this Darkness there is an opportunity for us to join with him and all Americans to build democratic physical and intellectual monuments that will shine in history like the African Pyramids. Yes, NIA can bring us to a new American Golden Age.
Culturally, in the United States there have been two golden ages from an African American perspective, The Civil War, mainly the period right after the war and the positive results of the 1960's. In his first year the President has gone a long way to creating a third American Golden Age by getting Health Care Reform passed both houses of congress.
"To make our collective vocation the building and developing of our community..."
Without physical health, Cultural Health is not as valuable as it can be.
It is my judgment that Obama is a man of purpose.
What is your judgment.

The Obama Kwanzaa Series Day 4 of 7 2009
Call: Habari Gani
Response:_________?
4. UJAMAA (Cooperative Economics) [oo-jah-MAH]
To Build and maintain our own stores, shops and other businesses and to profit from them together.
I gave the call to my family and friends today and they are doing poorly. What is it about this economic thing that many of us don't get. Most African Americans failed this cultural test. Some did not even know that a response was required. Some responses went like this "...Habari Gani, yea, and what does that mean..? or hmm, you got me. Or they would try to be slick and just say Habari Gani back,Lol.
The Cultural Reality is clear, no culture - no economics. The Jewish community where I live has good cultural literacy and good economic, it is interesting how these things go together in the real world.
This leads me to the lead picture of this article. Some of my "Afro-centric" Cultural Citizen friends may as well have said, "What the H$ll is Kwanzaa?" I say this to point out that their is a big gap between the noise about Kwanzaa in our community and the practice.
Nowhere in the seven principles is a gap more noticeable then in UJAMAA. African Americans before the Civil Rights Battle had to do business with each other. After the battle, with the advent of "integration", it has been said that we do business with everyone but us. The Black beauty supply business is a prime example. Sam Ennon CEO of BOBSA points out that the manufacturing and distribution segments of this African American customer focused industry is no longer controlled by Blacks.
Before we start looking excessively to Obama, or anyone else, for Black business support we better start looking at ourselves and how we fix these gaps between principles and Practice. Having said that, Black Business is in favor of the President.
Black Business Builders Club - From Douglas to King to Obama
Speaking of how to run a Black Business, the President's winning campaign is a good new wave example, he included everyone as customers, raised more then half a billion dollars in less then two years and beat all his competition,. YES WE CAN!
Obama is a politician, and in America politics is the tool for managing money, that is, who gets what economically. The good news is, we voted for him and he has an obligation to us as constituents. The President was hired by the American people to fix the economy, initiate "Health" Care Reform and end the Iraq War. If he does just the Economy and HCR he will have helped the business in our community immeasurably. A rising tide lifts all boats.
Speaking of boats, The President has launched what I have called The Green Moon Shot (take American business Green to the future). We better get on our President's Green Boat as it comes through our community. My Christel ball tells me that the business future is not black or white, it is green and we need to be seen as green$.
Bottom line how did the President measure up to UJAMA in his first year. Well Bush and the forty thieves gave our money to the Banksters for three pieces of paper, No monitoring, no going to jail and no requirement to pay the money back. The President is fixing that error and getting our money back. He has stopped the economic Bush Bus from falling further into the ditch. "Health" Care Reform has passed both houses. I give the President's first year performance regrading the principle of UJAMA, a "B+".

Update:
The bill passed and is now law
Below is the most practical and useful InfoGraphic I have run across for the Affordable Care Act (ACA)
What does the health-care law mean to me?: This helpful infographic from the Washington Post is pretty low key. It doesn’t have bright colors, but it is interactive and very easy to use. Put in your current health insurance situation, your household size, your adjusted gross income and your marital status. Off to the side, you will see exactly what you can expect from health care reform, including whether or not you will see additional taxes as a result of the passage of this new health insurance law. Here are 17 other InfoGraphics explaining ACA (Health Care Reform).

The Obama Kwanzaa Series Day 3 of 7
Call Habari Gani (What's the word)
Response_________
This is day three of Kwanzaa and the third installment of this series.
3. UJIMA (Collective Work and Responsibility) [oo-JEE-mah]
To Build and maintain our community together and make our sister's and brother's problems our problems and to solve them together.
Like many African Americans who have attended good schools Obama could have deserted his community and made a fortune with the Bush type anti-humanist forty thieves. He, like the Cultural Traitors Steel and Thomas, could have chosen to work against his community.
What did Obama do? He went into the Chicago African American community and became a community organizer. He did not go into the Irish community or the Chinese community he returned to his community in the spirit of UJIMAA. He married a like minded young lady from his community and they are bringing up two children in the best tradition of UJIMA.
Barack Obama and the History of Project Vote
He found that he could not get enough done fast enough for his community given the conditions in America. So he found a way to plot a path to helping the whole American community activate UJIMA.
As we meditate on today's principle a few things should pass through our bio-computer(mind)
A strong grounding in culture and community can produce remarkable results, the first African American President of the United States.
Talk about collective work and responsibility. Most African Americans (AA's) did not know Barack Obama from a hole in the ground. They did not embrace him immediately because they knew he could be a Judge Thomas or Micheal Steel. When they determined that he was operating in UJIMA (my word not theirs)they (we) collectively, at the 95% level, took responsibility for helping him get elected.
Everyone now understands with hindsight that the Bush and the forty thieves drove our economic bus into the ditch. Not just any ditch, but the biggest one since the great depression. We can all use a little National UJIMA about now. The President has attached a crane cable to the back of Bush's Bus and stopped it from going further down the ditch.
In looking at the year 2009 (African year 12,009) and comparing obama with other potential roll models for UMJIMA, like Tiger Woods, the President comes out on top.
So when I look at his life and his first year as President, I conclude that Obama continues to live the principle of UJIMA.

The Obama Kwanzaa Series Day 2 of 7 2009
Call: Habari Gani
Response: __________________
I gave the call yesterday morning in my household and they expect it now, but I still got them off guard. Today everyone is not here but we are making progress. If you did not know, the response it is Kujichagulia (Self Determination).
The Second Principle of Kwanzaa
Kujichagulia (Self Determination)
To define ourselves, name ourselves, create for ourselves and speak for ourselves instead of being defined, named, created for and spoken for by others.
It should be noted that a basic knowledge of Kwanzaa by a continental African, or a Diaspora African is an improvement in Cultural Literacy and an act of self definition, naturally with the practice of Kwanzaa this becomes even more true. The very act of reconstructing and restoring the traditional values, interests and principle of the African first fruits celebrations in the minds of Black people is a self defining act of Cultural Health on the part of Karenga and his people.
Cultural Literacy Minute: Reducing Cultural Poisoning and Raising Cultural Literacy = Cultural Health. (Ch= -CP +CL)
As we compare Obama's first year as President to each of the 7 Kwanzaa principles, how does he compare on this one? When asked about his cultural self definition he responds clearly, I am an African American . He acknowledges the fact that he is multi-ethnic that is, he has an African Father and a European American mother. What is important from a Cultural Health point of view is that as a person who produces substantial amounts of melanin, he understands himself to be a Black person connected to the 2 billion plus other Black people on this planet.
Now let us look at the last two corner stones of this principle. Creating for ourselves and speaking for our selves. His election is a demonstration of the African American community speaking for itself at the 95% level. The President's 2009 health care fight for the National community is by default a fight for the AA community's health and well being too.
Now let us go back to the second corner stone, Name ourselves. Here is where the tires meet the road; Barack Obama was Barry during his early life. So Obama was Barry Obama for a time. As a young person he looked for himself and his cultural orientation, this is generally more difficult for multi-ethnic Americans. As his Cultural Health improved he restored his African name Barack and settled into the fact that this choice would not make it easier for him in America.
Look at the lead picture. One day after the historic 2008 election everyone who can speak English, and even some who can't, know at least one African name. This is Kujichagulia at its global Cultural Health best.
I conclude Barack Obama, in 2009, is living Kujichagulia. What are your conclusions?
P.S. the Behavior of Barack Obama would indicate to me that he is more in line with this principle of Kwanzaa then Tiger Woods. What say you?

Kwanzaa 101 2009
Did you know there was a feature film about Kwanzaa called The Black Candle:
***The Black Candle*** (Trailer)
Kwanzaa is the most widely celebrated original African American holiday. “The Father of Kwanzaa” is Maulana Ron Karenga, an African American scholar and social activist. The celebration runs from December 26 to January 1. Kwanzaa (First Fruits Festival) is in the best spirit of Cultural Literacy in that it is a synchronization of African values at home and abroad. This remarkable blend of African and African American values is a major force in the fight to improve Cultural Health in our community by raising Cultural Literacy and reducing Cultural Poisoning here in America
The Origin of Kwanzaa comes into recorded history in Classical African Civilization, Kamet (Ancient Egypt)as this First fruit Offering left by our ancestors to instruct us down through the millennium. Dr. Karanga is a resurrecter and restorer of that which has always been and is our legacy to continue.
Kwanzaa is anchored by its seven guiding principles, known as the Nguzo Saba. Each principle is denoted by one word from the pan African language known as Swali, as reproduced below. I have added the pronunciation.
Nguzo Saba (The Seven Principles)
1. UMOJA (Unity) [oo-MO-jah]
To strive for and maintain unity in the family, community, nation and ethnic group.
2. KUJICHAGULIA (Self-determination) [koo-jee-cha-goo-LEE-ah]
To define ourselves, name ourselves, create for ourselves and speak for ourselves instead of being defined, named, created for and spoken for by others.
3. UJIMA (Collective Work and Responsibility) [oo-JEE-mah]
To Build and maintain our community together and make our sister's and brother's problems our problems and to solve them together.
4. UJAMAA (Cooperative Economics) [oo-jah-MAH]
To Build and maintain our own stores, shops and other businesses and to profit from them together.
5. NIA (Purpose) [NEE-ah]
To make our collective vocation the building and developing of our community in order to restore our people to their traditional greatness.
6. KUUMBA (Creativity) [koo-OOM-bah]
To do always as much as we can, in the way we can, in order to leave our community more beautiful and beneficial than we inherited it.
7. IMANI (Faith) [ee-MAH-nee]
To believe with all our hart in our people, our parents, our teachers, our leaders and the righteousness and victory of our struggle.
By Maulana Ron Karenga
with Cultural Health Modification by Rudy Aunk
Note: In the interest of Cultural Health, the word "race" has been changed to ethnic group in the first principle ("race" is a doublespeak word).

Two Down One To Go on Health Care Reform
Democrats miraculously closed ranks voting 60 to 39, blowing the Republican obstructionists out of the water.
If the Dems keep their newly found testicular fortitude and the holiday spirit, the final vote could come late Christmas Eve.
So the Question is, will the Senate give us the American people the gift of Health Care Reform for Christmas.
Pay close attention. Is the bill perfect or what will be the final result out of conference is a different question. Do you think Dems will pass HCR by Christmas is the question before you. Go on the Record.
I used my Iphone app to Email my Senators and congress person. This is not a time to sit on your hands, Mediplex and the Repubs are doing everything they can think of to keep you in their corporate grip. You know Santa is not bringing you no HCR gift, you are. What are you going to do, today?

Black Jesus Nativity Scene Angers 'White Christmas' Party
Black Jesus Nativity Scene
Not the scene from the actual story, Click Here for full story
This is a comment I read regarding this story:
That is what happens when Caucasian,Anglo and Europeans paint their version of Christ in "their" image!..not the image of a Jesus born in a dark skinned region.
This is my Cultural Commentary on the story.
Interesting point, the doublespeak concept of a "Middle East" had not been invented yet and all of Ethiopia, including far North Africa, as the Greeks called it, had a majority population of traditional Africans, not the multi-ethnic Arab invaders of today.
I is remarkable that here in "A Merry Ca" many of my fellow Americans run around fat, dumb and happy oblivious to historicity.
We see pictures from Iraq in that region and the broadcasters tell us that it is 110 degrees in the shade, yet we still put nativity scenes in our houses of worship with snow falling on Jesus. Come on folks, we don't need history here a little geography would serve the thinking persons reality check very well.
I won't even bring up Jesus's description in the Bible, or the coin in the British museum with a picture of Justinian on one side and Jesus on the other. Jesus's ethnicity historically is less of a mystery then many would have us believe.
However, this is the holiday season and we must get ready once again for the onslaught of Culturally Poisened holiday movies, like Moses and the 10 commandments that will misrepresent the majority population and spiritual traditions of Classical African Civilization, Kemet (Ancient Egypt).
How should you think about this? You should start by asking yourself, what do I really know about this time in recorded history? Then ask some questions.

In 2008 Golfweek had a noose on its cover which, represented a reality of Tiger Wood's sport. Now in 2009 Tiger has created another layer of problem on top of the original one.

Part 1 of 4 - Watch the whole speech if you have time, if not, watch part 1 and part 4 to get a good understanding of what was said. See Parts 2 to 4 at the end of this video -bottom of screen.
Obama did America proud in shedding light on what most thinking Americans think and feel about war and peace. We have no wish to go around the world killing people and stealing their resources. What an ending, our President gave the world hope as he tried to reactivate its moral compass. Listen to the applause at the speech's conclusion, there is much to be heard in the world's applause.

Tiger Woods Cultural Progress or Cultural Poisoning
Now that you have had a good laugh, you know Golf is not exactly a Hip Hop Subject. This is an example of the fact that even people who know nothing about Golf will be telling Tiger Woods jokes for years. All sports Hero's are not necessary good cultural charterer models. In this unfortunate circumstance there is a Cultural Health opportunity. What is the state of relationships in America in general and in the African American community in particular.
Before you answer, as a matter of modern Cultural Literacy, you should understand that while Tiger and O.J. Simpson have something in common, they are not the only ones. Hit this link and tell me what you think.

Best iPhone App For Submitting Photos - Facebook, Flickr, Photobucket, Picasa and More!
I just saw the photoscatter video as I was looking to see if I would try Picasa. I now use Photobucket and Facebook. The one thing these three sites need to have in common is the Iphone. You made my connection for me, I am downloading Photoscatter to my I phone as we speak, tnx.
I saw some other apps in the Istore, but not with the high rating you folks have. Done deal. I'll report back after I use it.

Good Picasa Web Album Demo
I don't like the 250 mb limit and the idea that they will charge for 6 gig. I must now take a closer look at Photobucket which, does this for free with links and embedding, if I am not mistaken. Now, if google were to add Picasa web to YouTube with the same UT link/embed and monetize capability, Now we're talking mucho new customers on the grid.

Image via Wikipedia
My physical health is important to me. So what I put in my mouth is important to me. To my shock, a member of my family demonstrated that the term organic and what it means to ones health is still new to many people. So I put this quick physical health reference.
Cultural Literacy and Physical Literacy (Food Literacy in this case) go hand in hand.
Organic is still confusing to most people. The way you "know" that a food you buy is organic is by the Green and White symbol that leads this article. Right now, the USDA symbol means, IMHO, that the producer is at least trying to appear healthier then their competition. If I have a choice between an Organic apple and a Frankenstein (GMO) Nerve gas (pesticide) apple, I choose organic. Organic apples can be 400% heather then a chemical apple.
I now shop at a store called Whole Food Market they are a National chain supermarket like Shop Wrong (Rite). They differ from the shop wrongs of the world in one important way, most of their food is organic. Most of the food in a shop wrong supermarket is chemical food. I did not even know this Grocery Store War was going on. See Video below
Join the war, vote organic when you are in a store

The Two Stories of Thanksgiving
In School, I learned that the Pilgrims had black hats and gold shinny buckles and sat down and had a wonderful meal with their friends the Native Americans in 1621. I thought this was the way things looked, because this is what my teachers and parents told me. This is not like Christmas, they wouldn't lie about this would they?
I was in middle age, before I learned that this was not the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help my teacher’s God. I would not say they “lied”, however, the Europeans that were invading Turtle Island did not have cloths as described. They whore much less flamboyant plain everyday work cloths. In addition, most Native Americans would tell you that these were not the friendliest folks that ever landed on Turtle Island.
Historians Joel A. Rogers, Dr. Rev. Ishakamusa Barashango and others report that 44 of the Pilgrims died in their first winter in America due to laziness and mental illness. Further, they report that not only did they fail to take the advice of the Native Americans regarding planting and providing for themselves. They actually stole corn from, killed and would eat the Native Americans and each other.
John Smith's Map of the Powhatan Nation he "renamed" Virginia - Larger Map
See the following quote from Captain John Smith (1580-1631) "So great was our famine that a savage we slew and buried, the poorer sort took him up again and ate him; and so did divers ones another boiled and stewed with herbs. And one amongst the rest did kill his wife, powdered her and had eaten part of her."
The General History of Virginia Fourth Book Page 294 (1606-1625)
So what is the real story of Thanksgiving? Did European Americans eat with Native Americans or did European Americans eat Native Americans?
In Closing, let me point out that the reason for informing you about the "The Two Stories of Thanksgiving", is to cause all Americans to think more deeply about this important American holiday. Should we stop celebrating Thanksgiving, No! Thanksgiving should and can be a Culturally Healthy event. As a general proposition families getting together to celebrate family unity, and the harvests of family and friends for the year, is a good thing.
However, we must have an accurate picture of the past, if Ma'at (Truth, balance) is to be served in the present and the future. So the bigger question is, what stories do we tell our children, regarding early American relationships to Native Americans. This holiday is a time to ask ( or re-ask) ourselves, What is, and what ought to be, our political, social and spiritual relationship to Native Americans?
See the Cultural Literacy Minutes below.
1. Who were the good and bad guys in American Cowboy and "Indian" movies of the 1960's and earlier?
Note: your answer to the above question will tell you something about your cultural orientation to Native Americans.
2. "Indian" = DoubleSpeak (Cultural Poisoning) - Antidote = Native American, Indigenous People, Mohawk, Chippewa, etc.
3. There are also Black Indians among us. This is the Third Story of Thanksgiving, click here.
To view a discussion with Native Americans and other Americans that has been going on for many years visit this link. WARNING This is the old Wild West of the Internet before spell check and before I knew anything about writing.
Our (Americans) relationship to our Native American brothers and sisters has not been Culturally Healthy. I have reactivated your ancestral memory about three of the stories, there are many more, learn about them. It is the Twenty First century, Obama is the President, God is in her heaven and we now have the tools to cure this dis-ease of telling less then the full historical truth to our children and each other.
It starts with you. So what are you going to do about it?

Ted Kennedy Watches over Senate as Health Care Bill Leaps forward.
I think the great American ancestors, including the whole Kennedy Clan, is watching over our historic President, our congress, and especially smiling on the Senate. As we approach Thanksgiving and Native American Heritage Day (The Friday after Thanksgiving), We in America have much to be thankful for and Health Care is at the top of the list.
All praise to the great Senator Harry Reid for leading the Democrat HCR to the floor for debate. In some ways his job has been harder then the house leadership. I am proud of both. In fact, it seems that the Senate astonishingly, came up with a Bill equal to or better then the house bill. The bill saves lives, money and medicare. I went to his web site, followed him on twitter and sent him this tweet.
@SenatorReid Tnx for getting HCR to the Senate floor. You are about to go down as one of the all time great Senators.
I emailed (Iphone) a thank you to both my senators, as I watched them stand in the well and vote for my health. I luckily have the VA Health Care and I am about to get Medicare, so I am OK for now. But this will help 31 million of my fellow Americans not so fortunate. It will protect my children and grand children from the MediPlex Insurance company's dirty tricks departments. And it will start to clean up and protect my future Medicare.
Yes, this first vote was cast strictly on party lines however, I think the Senators will be freed up to vote their conscious on the final bill. Yes, their will be a tough fight but I think the final Senate vote on Kennedy Health Care Reform will be more bipartisan then most of the pundits expect. Kennedy had many life long Republican friends that will not let him down in this hour of reaching his life long pursuit.

2009 Veterans Day, My Dad, Health Care and Me
My Dad on the left WWII and Aunk Vietnam
Did you know that most veterans don't get Veterans Administration health care unless they have a service related illness/injury or meet means test requirements? This means many "middle class" Vets don't have VA or any other health care. 25% of the nation's homeless are veterans. Somehow these realities don't seem to me like we are remembering our veterans like we should.
Health Care Reform just passed the House and is moving through the Senate, did you notice that there are no provisions in these bills for "no cost health care" for all veterans? It strikes me today, that on these days of remembrance, we can and should do more for our vets and their families.
Veterans day and Memoral day are both special to me. They are days to remember and honor our country's serving, served and fallen and our Culture's serving, served and fallen. On these days I especially remember my dad Marlin in World War II, and his fathers in World War Zero (WW0).
Every Holy Day (holiday) is a Cultural Literacy opportunity. To learn more about World War Zero, hit the link and tell me what you think. Newsvine - Memorial Day - My Dad and My Culture
If you are one of the 2+ Billion Black people in the world you should know about WW0. All human beings should know about all the major wars, for it is our best defense against having them happen again. If you are an African American in the military you have a duty to know about WW0, WWI and WWII, not just the last two.

Republican Micheal Steele says he is a cow?
See, I did not make this up. How does a cow get onto rail road tracks? He does not get their because of a plan or trying to solve a problem for the herd. He wonders onto the tracks aimlessly. In fact, when he sees the train coming he has no idea what he is looking at.
It is interesting to note, that a Cultural Traitor in a multi-ethnic society is not only a danger to his/her own community but a danger to all communities who hold humanism in high regard.
Steel said, White Republicans Are Scared Of Me, I say, Black People are scared of you, and your party should be too.
Now this is not Micheal Steele on the tracks. However, you will understand the resemblance when you see the video.

Steele: White Republicans Are Scared Of Me
Sometimes the best way to understand the behavior of a Cultural Traitor is to watch him/her at work.
Punish any Democratic Senator who does not support Health Care Reform
This is not a time to sit on our hands. I signed the petition and tweeted it. We need millions on this petition. We need you. If not you then who?

Pelosi Passes Health Care Reform 220-215 (Video)
I watched this most remarkable process. I get CNN who had odd spotty coverage. But I was luckily able to get MSNBC on the net and they had a live video stream (uninterrupted) on the floor of the house which was the way to see this historic vote.
Let me first thank my senators and congressman and the Democratic congress in general for the moral courage to do what they were elected to do. And let me thank all the people who made those calls and sent those Emails and protested at the insurance companies. Let me thank Michael Moore’s SickO for helping us compare “Health” Care in civilized nations vs. the Sick Care for profit we have here in America. The Movie John Q was also helpful in showing the dirty tricks departments of hospitals, employers and insurance companies against the working American.
Let me thank Dr. Linda Peeno for her testimony before congress regarding being hired to cause the death of insurance company customers. Thank you to all the Americans who came forward to talk about their personal stories and the impact they want reform to have on the lives of their fellow citizens. Olbermann’s show where he talks about his parents and friends health challenges, and health reform as a right to life, is a good example of the people coming forward and telling their own stories.
I was not happy when Pelosi refused to bring Bush and the forty thieves to trial. I was not happy when she took Single Payer off the table. But if this is what it took to win this close vote then all is forgiven.
Thanks to the one Republican, Ahn “Joseph” Cao of Louisiana, with the courage to vote for human rights over profit rights. This was not just a physical health victory for America, it was another national Cultural Health victory that keeps our ship of state on a proper heading toward the moral high ground of that distant port.
