Cultural Plausible Deniability, a new term for a new world.

Don’t put anything in email or on-line that you do not want to see on the front page of the New York Times because you will probably see it there. It’s a new world; keep your antenna up and radars on.

Some of you Cultural soldiers should think about whether your Cyberspace cultural profile maybe a liability to your current employment or future positions. If so, you may need to use a different name in CyberSpace that reflects your cultural orientation but does not link to you corporate earth profile.

The new world (CyberSpace) presents issues of Cultural Integrity that did not exist in the old world (Pre-CyberSpace), Where do you stand?

One is good for the spirit, the other for the body.

Welcome to The National Caucus and Center on Black Aged, Inc.

Physical Health is one aspect of Cultural Health. As we become elders this is important. So here is a link to a site that can be helpful for our elders.

Happy Holiday 2005

Happy Holiday
2005

I wish you and yours a culturally healthy and happy holiday.

Rudy Aunk

Every year on behalf of the Cultural Literacy Project and in the interest of cultural health. I take great pleasure in sending out a holiday greeting. This year's greeting above was shorter then most years, so I could provide you with some additional information.

This year I was asked by my daughter in-law, if I would go to my honorable grandson's kindergarten class and introduce them to Kwanzaa. The teacher was having parents from different ethnic groups in, to talk about their respective holidays.

This was a great opportunity to improve Cultural Health at the beginning of the human life cycle instead of in the middle, or at the end, as I am usually doing. Naturally, I went and great fun was had by all. It had been a long time since I had been in kindergarten, and I had forgotten how open and flexible young children are.

I taught them and they taught me. The take home lesson for me was, the reminder that you catch more bees with honey then you do with vinegar.

Undoubtedly some of you cultural soldiers will run into culturally insensitive individuals this season, as you have in the past. I would caution you, be gentle. As you know some right wing zealots have been telling their flock that Christmas is under attack. While this is not true, it has lead to some adverse reactions by some of the less culturally healthy adults here in America.

Note the following series of memos as an example of what I am talking about.

Memorial Day and African Americans

Hetep and Respect Good Spirits

Memorial Day's Cultural Health Minute

U know the Cultural Literacy Project's practice of utilizing "Holidays" as Cultural Health opportunities. Memorial Day is no exception. In this spirit, read and head the Cultural Health Minute below.

Remember and tell someone about your family's military service.

On Memorial Day African Americans should remember our ancestor's sacrifices in World War Zero (WW0) A.K.A the middle passage or African Holocaust. 100 million innocent men, woman and children died, in our Big One WW0.

Remember and remind folks of the living and passed on casualties of the Cultural War
Including Marcus, Martin and Malcolm in America and from Hepatica to Ncruma in the motherland
Last to not least remind folks of the living sleeping giants among us.

A great tribute to our fallen ancestors on Memorial Day would be to wake up a present day Sleeping Giant.

What will you do on Memorial Day?

Cultural Health Requires ACTION to gain traction!
