The Obama Kwanzaa Series Day 6 of 7 2010

In the Obama Kwanzaa Series we have been comparing Obama's principles and performance, especially his second year as President, to each of the seven principles of Kwanzaa. The question today is, does he embody the principle of Creativity? (Video)

The Judgement Scene is the most famous of Classical African Paintings.
It is where we in America get our scale of justice from and our jury system

Call: Habari Gani
Response:_________?

6. KUUMBA (Creativity) [koo-OOM-bah]

To do always as much as we can, in the way we can, in order to leave our community more beautiful and beneficial than we inherited it.

As it is our tradition, we look to Classical African Civilization, Kamet (Ancient Egypt) for a sound understanding of this principle. The oldest Kemetic monument demonstrating creativity is Harmaketh (What the Greeks called the Sphinx) which has been standing some 12,000 years now. The secret of Harmaketh is a powerful tool to those who know it. The Great African Pyramids built by the father, son and grand son at Giza, are the only one of the original seven wonders of the world still standing. To this day no one has demonstrated the creativity to build such buildings. Last but not least is the Ankh, used by the ancient ones as both a symbol and a model and handed down to us are a reminder of our legacy.

Let us fast forward to the present for a minute.

I recently met a young AA woman at my son's house, she noticed that on my cloths there were a number of Ankhs. She asked me if I was the Ankh man. I told her that it was part of my African name, Nuu Ma'at Aunk. My daughter told her that her name was AunkT (T- is the feminine form in Metu Neter). I was struck by the power and pride in my daughters voice as she spoke. To our surprise, the young lady proclaimed that she has an Ankh tattoo. My daughter asked her where she had it and the young lady pulled back her hair to revealed a beautiful Ankh on her neck.

I asked her what caused her to get the Ankh Tattoo? She said that when she was eighteen she just decided. I have had this experience many times with young people. I told her that it was her ancestral memory kicking in, and as she learns about the Ankh, it will server her and her children well all the days of her life.

Now we will rewind one last time.

The Judgment of Ausar (Who the Greeks called Osiris)
Cultural Literacy Warning: The Culturally Poisoned name "Book of the Dead" (used by Arab grave robbers to describe the Kamitic scriptures) is used in the title of the video please disregard. Dr. Amen reconstituted the proper name as Nuk Au Neter.

What you have seen in this video is a reasonable introduction to Kamitic creativity regarding African Cosmologics as represented in the most famous Kamitic painting. However, the music and some of the language must be taken with a Cultural Health grain of salt.

Like we are today creatively using the 7 positive principles of Kwanzaa to make a judgement about the President, the classical Africans did not just use this judgement scene at death but nightly when they would creatively use 42 positive assertions to judge their daily behavior. I still use the 42 to this day.

Back here in the present, the matter at hand is Obama's creativity. As a multi-ethnic person left on his own to figure our his legacy and mission in life, he certainly had to be creative to come to the clear Culturally Healthy African American understanding that he now demonstrates.

His historic campaign and Presidency is a remarkable exercise in both cultural and political creativity that will be studied in all times by all peoples.

His first law in his first year was equal pay for equal work in his second year he signed Health Care Reform into law. His brilliance and creativity have enabled him to have a tremendously productive first two years in office (Video).  Think about Kuumba for a minute, will each of the laws he signed in this video leave our National community more beautiful and beneficial than we inherited it?

I gave the President and "A" for his first year and I rate him  "A" for his second year of remarkable creativity. I think it is fair to say, that he has been a better creativity role model for our community then many popular AA personality's like Juan, Muslims make me nervous, Williams or Clarance, Blacks should not be allowed to vote, Thomas.

The Obama Kwanzaa Series Day 5 of 7 2010

In the Obama Kwanzaa Series we have been comparing Obama's principles and performance, especially his second year as President, to each of the seven principles of Kwanzaa. The question today is, will Obama be good for our Nation and our ethnic group’s purpose.

Call Habari Gani
Response_________?

5. NIA (Purpose) [NEE-ah]
To make our collective vocation the building and developing of our community in order to restore our people to their traditional greatness.

Today there are more than two billion people in the global Black community. To understand this ethnic group and its purpose we must go back, way back, back to the beginning of human kind in history. Our scientists tell us that the oldest people known to exist on the planet are found in Africa. Kemetologists, many archaeologist and our cosmological leaders tell us that Classical African Civilization, Kemet, (Ancient Egypt) was among the first if not the first civilization in recorded history.

Black Africans Built and Ruled Ancient Kemet, we have their pictures and words as factual evidence.
Let's Go to The Video Tape

Speaking of “building”, it is in Kemet that we find the only one of the original Seven Wonders of the World still standing, the African Pyramids. The holiday season in America is full of Cultural Poisoning on TV. Most Americans have seen movies like
The Ten Commandments or Cleopatra where Hollywood misrepresents the ethnicity of the people of Classical African Civilization in Kemet and Canaan. We must be sure to give our children and those of good will the antidote reminding them of NIA, and of the great monuments our ancestors erected in their communities as tools that still instruct our purpose to this day.

The Obama Vocation, “
Community Organizer”/ builder is an honorable profession. The effective Cultural humanist do not just talk good, but do good everyday for the least among us. I think his track record as a community man qualifies him on this principle of NIA.

But let us now turn to his and our future as Africans in America. Kemet had
Golden ages and Intermediate periods (times of Chaos). So it is the case in all civilizations including here in America. Obama has taken office in a time of American Chaos. In this Darkness there is an opportunity for us to join with him and all Americans to build democratic physical and intellectual monuments that will shine in history like the African Pyramids. Yes, NIA can bring us to a new American Golden Age.

Culturally, in the United States there have been two golden ages from an African American perspective, The Civil War, mainly the period right after the war and the positive results of the 1960's. In his second year the President has consolidated a key element of America's third Golden Age by signing Health Care Reform (HCR) into law in March of this African year 12,010 AST (African Standard Time).

Making sick care available to more Americans translates directly into NIA.
"To make our collective vocation the building and developing of our community..."
In my Elder-hood, I have come to understand that without physical health, Cultural Health will not mean what you think it means.

As I close, let me note that the President did not just make HCR law, he did many things to improve the National Community (AA's included).

Top 10 Democratic Accomplishments during the 111th Congress

It is my judgment, in this second year of his Presidency, that Obama is still a man of purpose.

What is your judgment.

The Obama Kwanzaa Series Day 4 of 7 2010

In the Obama Kwanzaa Series we have been comparing Obama's principles and second year Presidential performance to each of the seven principles of Kwanzaa. The question today is, has Obama been good or bad for Black Economics. (Video)

Call: Habari Gani
Response:_________?

4. UJAMAA (Cooperative Economics) [oo-jah-MAH]
To Build and maintain our own stores, shops and other businesses and to profit from them together.

I gave the call to my family and friends today and they are doing poorly. What is it about this economic thing that many of us don't get. Most African Americans failed this cultural test. Some did not even know that a response was required. Some responses went like this "...Habari Gani, yea, and what does that mean..? or hmm, you got me. Or they would try to be slick and just say Habari Gani back,Lol.

The Cultural Reality is clear, no culture - no economics. The Jewish community where I live has good cultural literacy and good economics, it is interesting how these things go together in the real world.

This leads me to the lead picture of this article. Some of my "Afro-centric" Cultural Citizen friends may as well have said, "What the H$ll is Kwanzaa?" I say this to point out that their is a big gap between the noise about Kwanzaa in our community and the practice.

Nowhere in the seven principles is a gap more noticeable then in UJAMAA. African Americans before the Civil Rights Battle had to do business with each other. After the battle, with the advent of "integration", it has been said that we do business with everyone but us. The Black beauty supply business is a prime example. Black leaders in the beauty business point out that the manufacturing and distribution segments of this African American customer focused industry is no longer controlled by Blacks.

Before we start looking excessively to Obama, or anyone else, for Black business support we better start looking at ourselves and how we fix these gaps between principles and Practice. Having said that, Black Business is in favor of the President.

Let's Go to the Video Tape:

Black Business Builders Club - From Douglas to King to Obama

Speaking of how to run a Black Business, the President's winning campaign is a good new wave example, he included everyone as customers, raised more then half a billion dollars in less then two years, with the largest number of individual contributers in history, and beat all his competition. YES WE CAN!

Obama is a politician, and in America politics is the tool for managing money, that is, who gets what economically. The good news is, we voted for him (95% of AA's) and he has an obligation to us as constituents. Last year I said, the President was hired by the American people to fix the economy, initiate "Health" Care Reform and end the Iraq War. If he delivers on two of the three in four years he will have helped the business in our community immeasurably. A rising tide lifts all boats.

Speaking of boats, The President has launched what I have called The Green Moon Shot (take American business Green to the future). We better get on our President's Green Boat as it comes through our community. My Christel ball tells me that the business future is not black or white, it is green and we need to be seen as green$.

Bottom line how did the President measure up to UJAMA in his second year?
Well he has saved and produced more American jobs in two years then Bush and the forty thieves did in 8 years. Health Care Reform is now law and the Iraq war is ended. I said he needed 2 our of 3 in 4 years. He delivered 2 out of 3 in 2 years, personally I move him to the head of the class.

What did the President do specifically for African Americans? He got some 4.5 Billion dollars, being held up by Cultural Anti-Humanists in the congress for 11 years, released. Black farmers will finally receive justice along with our Native American brothers and sisters. YES WE CAN!

In addition, The President and his Dems have kept 127 Promises and here is a list of 90 other accomplishments of economic, social and political import on behalf of the nation (including us).

As I did last year in this Kwanzaa Series,  I give the President's second year performance regrading the principle of UJAMA, a "B+".

What is your rating?

The Obama Kwanzaa Series Day 3 of 7 2010

How does Barack Obama’s life and his time as President compare to the 7 principles of Kwanzaa. Does the comparison provide any evidence regarding Obama’s Cultural Health? What does this analysis teach us about the third principle of Kwanzaa (Video)

Call Habari Gani (What's the word)
Response_________

This is day three of Kwanzaa and the third installment of this series.
3. UJIMA (Collective Work and Responsibility) [oo-JEE-mah]

To Build and maintain our community together and make our sister's and brother's problems our problems and to solve them together.

Like many African Americans who have attended good schools Obama could have deserted his community and made a fortune with the Bush type anti-humanist forty thieves. He, like the Cultural Traitors Mr Steel, Mr. Thomas and Juan Williams, could have chosen to work against his community.

What did Obama do? He went into the Chicago African American community and became a community organizer. He did not go into the Irish community or the Chinese community he returned to his community in the spirit of UJIMAA. He married a like minded young lady from his community and they are bringing up two children in the best tradition of UJIMA.

Barack Obama and the History of Project Vote

He found that he could not get enough done fast enough for his community given the conditions in America. So he found a way to plot a path to helping the whole American community activate UJIMA.

As we meditate on today's principle a few things should pass through our bio-computer (mind)

A strong grounding in culture and community can produce remarkable results. Health Care Reform is Law. The African American Farmers and Native Americans will finally be getting their 3.5 billion court settlement do to morally high ground taken by the President and his Dems.

He has kept 127 Promises and here is a list of 90 other Community Organizing  Presidential results

So when I look at his life and his time as President as of this African year 20,010 AST (African Standard Time), I conclude that Obama continues to live the principle of UJIMA.

What do you think?

The Obama Kwanzaa Series Day 2 of 7 2010

How does this culturally historic 2010 Obama year stack up against the second principle of Kwanzaa? Is there evidence that he lives the principle or not. He promised a lot as a candidate, but what has he delivered in the two years of his Presidency and how dose that impact the community.

In March of 2010 Congress Passed and the President signed The Affordable Care Act.  We asked for HCR. He promised Health Care Reform, and he and his Dems delivered.
Call: Habari Gani
Response: __________________

I gave the call yesterday to my son at 00:01 hours and he said Umoja , unity, I congratulated him on his Cultural Literacy despite my surprise timing.  I gave him the call this morning and he blew it, so he gets to give the call to his sister and he gets to call his brothers and nephews not at the house and give them the call instead of me. Queen Mother did not know the response off the top of her pretty head, but she was resourceful and come up with the answer in short order. If you did not know, the response, it is Kujichagulia (Self Determination).

The Second Principle of Kwanzaa

Kujichagulia
(Self Determination)

To define ourselves, name ourselves, create for ourselves and speak for ourselves instead of being defined, named, created for and spoken for by others.

It should be noted that a basic knowledge of Kwanzaa by a continental African, or a Diaspora African is an improvement in Cultural Literacy and an act of self definition, naturally with the practice of Kwanzaa this becomes even more true. The very act of reconstructing and restoring the traditional values, interests and principle of the African first fruits celebrations in the minds of Black people is a self defining act of Cultural Health on the part of Karenga and his people.

Cultural Literacy Minute: Reducing Cultural Poisoning and Raising Cultural Literacy = Cultural Health. CH = (-CP +CL)

As we compare Obama's first years as President to each of the 7 Kwanzaa principles, how does he compare on self-determination? When asked about his cultural self definition he responds clearly, I am an African American . He acknowledges the fact that he is multi-ethnic that is, he has an African Father and a European American mother. What is important from a Cultural Health point of view is that as a person who produces substantial amounts of melanin, he understands himself to be a Black person connected to the 2 billion plus other Black people on this planet.

Now let us look at two corner stones of this principle. Creating for ourselves and speaking for our selves. The President was certainly creative in beating some pretty smart candidates like the Clinton's to get nominated and then elected.  His election was a demonstration of the African American community speaking for itself at the 95% level. We hired him to deliver health care Reform (HCR), End the Bush Wars and to create jobs taking America green to the future. He and the Dems Passed HCR (part I) and he made progress on the other two major agenda items, while keeping 127 other promises he made to America. So in 2010, the President's approval rating among African Americans remains above the 90% level. He has done well for the nation and us and we in the AA community continue to speak well of him.

Now let us look at a culturally critical corner stone for all Africans abroad, Naming ourselves. Here is where the tires meet the cultural road; Barack Obama was renamed  Barry during his early life. So Obama was Barry Obama for a time. As a young person he looked for himself and his cultural orientation, this is generally more difficult for multi-ethnic Americans, then it is for say a Chinese person in mono-ethnic China, or even a Chinese American living here. As his Cultural Health improved he restored his African name Barack and settled into the fact that this choice would not make it easier for him in America.

What is your name? Do you have and African name, should you? Another way to name yourself is to put your stamp or name on something.

IMHO, The president's masterful passing of HCR and his Ali like "rope a dope" massive end of the year, 11th hour passage, against all odds, of earth shaking bipartisan legislation says a lot about his self-determination. What he said was "I am persistent". He moved the making the world safer legislation (START), a bipartisan second major economic stimulus bill for the nation and last but not least, passage of a bill that will lead to more civil treatment of homosexuals in the military. These accomplishments put his stamp/name on his Presidency like 911 stamped Bushes Presidency.

The differences is, he controlled his stamp out of focusing on his/our goals, it did not just happen to him. In this world there are people who make things happen, people that things happen to and people who wonder what happened. Which, are you, which should this Kwanzaa principle drive you to be?

Look at the pictures in this article. I remember a time when you could not get people to say or use African names in America. One of the reasons Kwanzaa has taken time to cut through the Cultural Poisoning in the AA Community is the difficulty of pronouncing what are foreign sounding words to many Black People in the diaspora. I remember having trouble getting people to call me Aunk, and I still have trouble with some, especially in my family. So it is remarkable to note that after two years, I do not think there is anyone left in America who does not  know at least two African words, Barack Obama, Amen! I have seen Obama's name or image in some of the most unexpected places, this marks a dramatic positive change in Cultural Literacy here at home and abroad. (Take a look at the Ngram linked to his name).

Did you notice where I slipped in a third African word in the paragraph above, no it is not Aunk.

The Signature of the President of the United States.

Just the passage of Health Care Reform, if he did nothing else, is the most important step toward human well being taken for Americans in general and African Americans in particular in my lifetime. This accomplishment alone will cause his name to live in America for the Nation's lifetime and beyond.

If you were looking for a long list of accomplishments Click Here I just tried to hit the most culturally relevant accomplishments  for this second day of Kwanzaa.

I conclude Barack Obama, in this African year 20,010 AST (African Standard Time) is living Kujichagulia and a good example to his fellow AA's, the nation and the world. What are your conclusions?

Does Obama Celebrate Kwanzaa? Day 1 of 7 2010

This is the first day of Kwanzaa and the start of our 7 Part series on this African American holiday. Many AA's know about and enjoy this holiday, the question is, does the Obama family.(Video)

You will note that in this video the President and First Lady say Merry Christmas ... as you and your families gather to celebrate the holidays..." this is definitely a culturally healthy and all inclusive wish. All inclusiveness is a  point in their favor however, it does not answer the question.

This being December 26 the first day of Kwanzaa (Dec 26 - Jan 1) the call goes forth Habari Gani! what is your response _________________? and what is the Obama family response? How is their Cultural Literacy, do the parents make the call and do the children respond?

The reality is I do not have a direct answer to the question. Does Obama and family know about Kwanzaa? Do they, or have they participated in the holiday? I think the answer to both questions is yes. but it is interesting that I have not heard a corporate media person ask these direct questions, nor does the net produce anything but hints for me so far.

Below is a hint.

This is a Calendar from Trinity Church , Obama's former Church, you will note that there is a Kwanzaa service for each of the seven days. So it is clear that his local community, especially his spiritual community, embraced Kwanzaa and I believe so did he.

If Obama does or does not celebrate Kwanzaa there are two things we should understand about the historic year of 2010 12,010 AST (African Standard Year). One, America having an African American President is causing Americans and people worldwide to want to improve their African American Cultural Literacy. Two, we have a Cultural Health opportunity to compare the Obama family's service to our Nation and personal conduct to the Kwanzaa principles and see what we can learn about Kwanzaa and our community from that process.

So let's start with today's principle (1 of 7)

1. UMOJA (Unity) [oo-MO-jah]
To strive for and maintain unity in the family, community, nation and ethnic group.

I believe Obama's family is a good example of unity. His election demonstrated African American unity (95-98% pro-Obama) around someone we believed can help the community. His mission is to strive for national unity which includes all Americans. His election was followed by the 2 billion plus Black people worldwide and had a unifying effect on our Pan African ethnic group.

Nationally, the President has brought the progressive elements of the Nation closer together, I see it in the Gym, in my interactions with people on-line and on the street, there is a general good vibe despite tough times. The AA community is part of the Nation and I sense we are functioning with more unity than in the past 8 years. In fact, I would go as far as saying that the world seems far more unified today then under Bush. Why, even the Democrats in the congress acted with more unity then anyone would have given them credit for a year ago.

They passed Health Care Reform which was one of my top three reasons for hiring our President. And did you see the magnificent end of year successes for the American people. Dear I say a bipartisan surprise that reminded me of the Ali "rope a dope".  Obama/GOP Tax compromise (tax cut of all Americans), START passed, (reduction of nuclear weapons) and DADT (Don't Ask Don't Tell). Thank you for the Christmas present Mr. President.

What do you think and take away as you meditate on Umoja, The President's family and your own situation?

Update:

December 26th 2010 Statement by President Obama and Michelle Obama on Kwanzaa
...!This is a joyous time of year when African Americans and all Americans come together to celebrate our blessings and the richness of our cultural traditions. This is also a time of reflection and renewal as we come to the end of one year and the beginning of another...The seven principles of Kwanzaa - Unity, Self Determination, Collective Work and Responsibility, Cooperative Economics, Purpose, Creativity, and Faith - express the values that have inspired us as individuals and families; communities and country..."
Well one thing is for sure, he sure knows the principles. If dad knows, Mom and the children know.

Kwanzaa 101 2010

Hetep and Respect every holiday is a Cultural Health opportunity. If you have never seen the seven principles of Kwanzaa take a look. If you have seen them and need a refresher here it is. One of the nice things about the holidays is that we get a chance to learn about each others holidays.
Director M.K. Asante, Jr.

Did you know there was a feature film about Kwanzaa called The Black Candle: Well in 2009 the film won the Best Documentary at the Africa World Documentary Film Festival in Saint Louis, Missouri and Lagos, Nigeria. This year The Black Candle: A Kwanzaa Celebration was featured on the CBS Early Show. Debbye Turner of Positively Black interviews the Director about the vision behind the film, the holiday, and the movement.

Let's Go To The Video Tape

***The Black Candle*** (Trailer)

Kwanzaa is the most widely celebrated original African American holiday. “The Father of Kwanzaa” is Maulana Ron Karenga, an African American scholar and social activist. The celebration runs from December 26 to January 1. Kwanzaa (First Fruits Festival) is in the best spirit of Cultural Literacy in that it is a synchronization of African values at home and abroad. This remarkable blend of African and African American values is a major force in the fight to improve Cultural Health in our community by raising Cultural Literacy and reducing Cultural Poisoning here in America

The Origin of Kwanzaa comes into recorded history in Classical African Civilization, Kamet (Ancient Egypt)as this First fruit Offering left by our ancestors to instruct us down through the millennium. Dr. Karanga is a resurrecter and restorer of that which has always been and is our legacy to continue.

Kwanzaa is anchored by its seven guiding principles, known as the Nguzo Saba. Each principle is denoted by one word from the pan African language known as Swali, as reproduced below. I have added the pronunciation.

Nguzo Saba (The Seven Principles)

1. UMOJA (Unity) [oo-MO-jah]
To strive for and maintain unity in the family, community, nation and ethnic group.

2. KUJICHAGULIA (Self-determination) [koo-jee-cha-goo-LEE-ah]
To define ourselves, name ourselves, create for ourselves and speak for ourselves instead of being defined, named, created for and spoken for by others.

3. UJIMA (Collective Work and Responsibility) [oo-JEE-mah]
To Build and maintain our community together and make our sister's and brother's problems our problems and to solve them together.

4. UJAMAA (Cooperative Economics) [oo-jah-MAH]
To Build and maintain our own stores, shops and other businesses and to profit from them together.

5. NIA (Purpose) [NEE-ah]
To make our collective vocation the building and developing of our community in order to restore our people to their traditional greatness.

6. KUUMBA (Creativity) [koo-OOM-bah]
To do always as much as we can, in the way we can, in order to leave our community more beautiful and beneficial than we inherited it.

7. IMANI (Faith) [ee-MAH-nee]
To believe with all our hart in our people, our parents, our teachers, our leaders and the righteousness and victory of our struggle.

By Maulana Ron Karenga
with Cultural Health Modification by Rudy Aunk

Note: In the interest of Cultural Health, the word "race" has been changed to ethnic group in the first principle ("race" is a doublespeak word - See my Book DoubleSpeak in Black and White).

My First Kwanzaa Ngram

The Kwanza Ngram (Kwanza Kwanzaa First Fruits Trigram) looks through 500 billion words written from 1800 to 2000 and builds a graph that tells you something about kwanzaa consciousness over recent history.
Source: Click Here

Most interesting, as it is clear that this modern First Fruits festival has gained substantial traction in the last 20 years, we also understand the concept in African recorded history goes back far beyond Google's database at this point in its development.
Here is a data point 1800-1810 from the new Unigram for "First fruits".
ARCANA CCELESTIA: OR HEAVENLY MYSTERIES CONTAINED IN THE SACRED ... - Page 91
EMANUEL SWEDENBORG - 1803 - Full view
wherefore when the first-fruits of corn and of wine are ... The first-fruits of the first-born were offered to Jehovah, and from Jehovah were given to Aaron and to his seed, ...
It is interesting to look back at these rituals from the continent. It is also important to note, as shown in one of the Kemetic picture in this article, that African first fruits rituals go back thousands of years in recorded history before the Bible now widely used in the West was written.

We Know the Speed of Light, So What is the Speed of Dark?

My Christmas Day and Kwanzaa Eve Question to you is, what is the Speed of Dark? This video will teach you the answer. When you have the answer, as Apple says about the Iphone, "This Changes Everything". (Video)

Let's Go To The Video Tape

I know your head is in suspended animation after watching the video. That is because your thoughts are racing around at the speed of dark. You will catch up to them in a minute. When you catch up your first task will be to find out how to go beyond inches and MPH and find out what a Terahertz (THz) is.

Your second task is to apply what you have learned about the speed of Dark to Melanin. I know your head when back into suspended animation. Once again you will catch up. We know the body moves information electro chemically. In bio-energetics we understand melanin as the main communicator. In Kemetic Chemistry or Indian medicine we talk about the 7 Chakras (Wheels) of energy. Modern cosmologics helps us understand that Chakras are in reality melanin energy channels. We can now come to understand from what we have learned in the video that information/energy in our body moves at the speed of dark. or said another way moves at one of the black seeds, wow.

I know back in suspended animation again, you will catch up.

House Keeping note. There are those who misunderstand Melanin Science and try to misrepresent it as "Melanin Theory". That is not what this is about. In melanin science there are theories (speculation) hypothesis as in any science. The scientific method as developed in Classical African Civilization, kemet (Ancient Egypt) and still practiced today determines what is fact and what is misguided.

Use this information to stay even more focused in your search for a greater understanding of Ma'at.

The Origin of the Christmas Season

In this holiday season Christmas lights illuminate the night worldwide what do you know about their origin. It is interesting to note that the oldest celebration of this time of year comes to us from Classical African Civilization, Kemet (Ancient Egypt). What is remarkable is that this annual legacy is still celebrated around the world some 10,000 years later, same time different places. (Video)

San Francisco Bay Area
Well I know a lot more about Christmas today then back in the day when my parents and family first told me about Christmas, bought me great stuff and I saw the lights everywhere. There are still lights of the family house as we speak. However, Sooner or later thinking man and women ask the question. "where and why did Christmas start? Santa is a reason for some, religions have answers but lets take a closer look back in the mist of history this time.

In ancient times the spiritual science that was practices included the disciplines we call Astronomy, Astrology and psychology today. The last two disciplines, that Western man has separated, were then combined into what I refer to as Astro-psychology.

In this tradition there were four major Holy Days, now called holidays, that corresponded with the changing nature of the earth, the universe (one verse) and us beings. First let us enjoy the visual meditation of the lights of the season from around the world, then we will talk more about the holiday.

This is a short Cultural Literacy lesson regarding the origin of this end of year beginning of the new year holiday season.

The time when the Sun Stands Still (Winter Solstice) has marked the end of the year and the beginning of the new year since the beginning of recorded history starting with Classical African Civilization, Kemet (Ancient Egypt) Kemet influenced the ancient civilized world in much the same way as America influences the modern civilized world. So we find variations of this early African Standing Sun practice in the later cultures of the Greeks, Romans and around the world.

Cultural Literacy Minute: This is a most serious, rewarding and joyful time for those of us that still practice some of the ancient Kemetic rituals of the end of the year beginning of the new, like students of the School of Ausar or Shrine of Path. This is also true for the modern/ancient practice of Kwanzaa (first fruits festival).

While the historicity associated with the traditions have been erased from the minds of most men it is still remarkable that the spirit of Standing Sun still remains in the earth.

Peace and Blessings enjoy and learn from the Standing Sun Holy Days

Google's New Android Tablet Prototype (Video)

Google's Andy Rubin came to D:Mobile packing some serious hardware and not just the company's newly announced smartphone, the Nexus S. He came with a prototype Motorola Android tablet, running a dual core Nvidia chip and Gingerbread, the next iteration of Android. And he used it to show off a forthcoming update to Google's mobile maps application.

The pre-announce Google tablet sound a lot like the old IBM tactic of FUD. (seeding Fear Uncertainty and doubt) FUD was a tactic used to freeze a corporate decisions. The Iphone tablet is a massive success. This is the Iphone knock off by google. Except it does not exist yet. So the question is, will you go and get you Ipad for Christmas or wait?

Google Body Browser: They Mapped the Earth The Stars Now the Human Body

The word for looking up anything has become Google it. We have Google Maps, Earth, Stars, under sea Now we have Google Body Browser, A 3D modeling tool that is a must see. (Video)

I downloaded Google Body and it works great. I am writing a book on health and its intersection with the web. I could not ask for a better tool.

Works like other Google 3D tools, same controls but you need an advanced browser. I have Google Chrome Beta.

If you are a health practitioner, a fitness guru, if you go to the gym, swim, are a technologist or just the average Jane or Joe, this is a must see.

Obama Refuses to Take Bush Rebup Tax Poison Pill

The President stuns Democrats and Republicans by Refusing to Take Bush Republican Poison Tax Pill. There are those that said the President should fight to prevent Republicans from giving the Rich 700 billion more of the middle classes money, he didn't. (Video)

Let's Go To the Video Tape

There are those in The MSM and bloggers that said the President has no backbone, not willing to stand and fight for what he believes. They said he would "Cave" on Tax cuts. Causing many Democrats to cower prematurely loose confidence in their leader who has won every major battle he has engaged the Republicans in. How soon we forget his gifts of effectiveness, foresight and decisive action to benefit the middle class and hard working Americans.

We also forget the dirty tricks nature of the Bush undead, but the President did not forget. He took note of Bush and the forty thieves saying They Set "Trap" For Obama That "Feels Pretty Good". They thought they left a poison pill for the President. That is a tax increase for the millions of middle class Americans making under two hundred and fifty thousand dollars, problem is, he did not swallow the Republican Tax poison pill.

He cut a far better deal with the few "sane" Republicans left standing then he will get from the Bag House that will take over in January. The 2 year temporary stay on reverse Robin Hood tax cuts for the rich puts the Republicans on the defensive. If Republicans now, after they have been given what they asked for, force hardworking Americans (99ers) to become destitute and raise taxes on all of the American middle class. The American people will know exactly who increased there taxes. You will notice they did not have the courage of their convictions to cause a massive tax increase, they compromised.

We should also duly note that the Republicans used this tax hostage situation to launch the first formal  clandestine attack on our/my Social Social Security.

Like Health Care Reform our President's smarts wins another victory for the American Middle class, working people and our recovering economy.

The battle cry going forward must be Stop The Republican ATTACK on SOCIAL SECURITY, elect the lock box candidate in 2012
