There was the euphoria of winning her fifth Wimbledon singles title, tying older sister Venus, and her 14th Grand Slam championship. The satisfaction of purging a stunningFrench Open collapse and the aura of vulnerability that followed. The relief that comes with reviving a career on the brink, from cheating death, from outlasting a patient and persistent adversary who on Saturday nearly pulled off a comeback as stirring as Williams’s.

For me the Queen is back, as everyone interested in the game knows, this changes everything. If the arguably best player in the history of women's tennis is back, then what was a pretty open field in the women's Grand slams may have just changed.

I got up early and watched breakfast at Wimbledon to get the 411, cut the grass and was ready to sit down and watch the match. What a match it was, In the first game of the first set I think Serena only let Radwonska, touch the ball once or so. Once again she got a terrible call. Her service ace that was in, a lines person called it out. Replay, not only was it in but it was way in, and with a right call she would have won the game and probably the match in two straight sets. The lines person should be fired. Although Serena did not say it, I think that call got in her head for a minute, you know this bad call thing seems to "happen" to Serena with an unprecedented regularity in the final match of a slam.

Radwonska utilized this "accident" of fate to make a 2nd set comeback. Then Serena settled down (put hetep back in place) to business and in one game of the third set, not only did Serena not allow Radwonska to touch the ball, she did not allow her to even see it, serving four straight aces, wow!.  The American made her polish opponent look like she was frozen in snow shoes.

The good news is, we have one sister back and one we hope and expect to be back on the court in top form soon. Venus a word of advise; limit your contact with allopathic only doctors. They and their MediPlex drugs are as likely to kill you as help you.  Find yourself a good integrative doctor, like Dr. Majid Ali or Dr. Pressman who can give you a 15 page health care blood test instead of the Allopathic only 4 page sick care blood test. The better picture you get of your blood the better off you are going to be sooner.

IMHO, autoimmune is not a diagnoses, it is a sick care only cop-out. Get with some integrative champions of medicine to help put you back on tract.

Update: Williams sisters win Wimbledon Doubles Championship. Venus closed out the match with and  ace, fitting. It was a sight to behold they played outstanding doubles against very good opponents only breaking them once in each of the two sets. Imagine playing like that after not playing for two years. - Speechless.

Arguably the greatest tennis player in the history of woman's tennis comes back from the grave to beat the Tennis establishment's #1 ranked Player. You got to see this picture of the win, what a shot!

Now, that is what I call a happy camper

This from a woman, due to a freak accident,  had to have two surgerys on her right foot which, is still not perfect. Had to take allopathic drugs that probably caused a blood clot that almost killed her and had bleeding under the skin in stomach, talk about back from the grave. When someone says they are happy to be alive this is the picture all human beings should see, Wow!

To be effective in the face of any challenge one must be happy. Our Ancestors in Classical African Civilization, Kemet (Ancient Egypt) defined happiness as peace and joy.  Peace is the natural state of being. It is the emotion of Amen and Ausar, not the negative emotions like anger, fear, regret, revenge, anxiety etc.  Joy (Kemetic Ra, Chinese Qi and Indian Kundalini) is the life force that gets things done in the world.

If you study Yoga or not you and I must learn to use this force. There in lies the ancient lesson of sports.

The most effective players in life find the joy. Djokovic had it earlier in the day as he moved on to the men's final. Let me set the stage, Nadal is up two sets to one. They are in the third set, if Nadal wins this set, it is game set and match. Djokovic's challenge is that he is facing the most important point of the match to this point. What is on his face, is it anger, fear, no, it is JOY (a smile). In the video, look closely at his face at 0:13. Seconds. At thirteen seconds into the video a smile breaks out on Djokovic's face as he faces this do or die opportunity.

Everyone who watched the match saw this moment. The commentators commented on it, for those who were paying attention with their hart it was an insightful moment.

Did you notice animals don't smile, that capacity is reserved to us. Our ancestors understood and taught their initiates the importance being able to create peace and joy instantly, especially in the face of challenge. It is good to see some of their decedents still retain this skill.

Real champions have this joy (smile) and you can see it if you look closely.

So when you meditate tonight take the Williams and Djokovic Joy into the meditation with you and add it to your goals so that you to may be effective in facing your challenges.

Black is Back at Wimbledon Tennis

It seems like Black is back in the Tennis majors and in cyberspace. The Williams sisters sweep the woman's finals in singles and doubles at the Wimbledon All England Tennis club.





I play street tennis in New York and New Jersey and love to watch melanin moving on the court. I have a friend that does not play tennis, but he will never miss a match and always calls me to let me know when the sisters are playing. The William's sisters have effected many people that way so, it is wonderful to see them back in play on the big sports stage.

It is especially good to see Serena Williams the younger sister back in shape, when many said it could not be done and she was through. She obviously has worked very hard on her fitness and even though she lost to her sister in singles, she deserves props as my children would say.

What is most remarkable is the cultural orientation that they bring to the sport. You should have heard the TV commentators asking if they would stop talking to each other. Their reply, more or less was, we are sister, tennis is a sport, we will still be sisters after we play the game. They play what I call Jazzy Tennis and practice "cooperative competition", There is no need to "hate" or try to "kill" your opponent in the central worldview, just defeat him, her or them.




Athletes and sports fans in all sports can learn something from the Williams brand of sportspersonship which, I have given the cultural tag cooperative competition.
