Did you know that most veterans don't get Veterans Administration health care unless they have a service related illness/injury or meet means test requirements? This means many "middle class" Vets don't have VA or any other health care. 25% of the nation's homeless are veterans. Somehow these realities don't seem to me like we are remembering our veterans like we should.
Health Care Reform just passed the House and is moving through the Senate, did you notice that there are no provisions in these bills for "no cost health care" for all veterans? It strikes me today, that on these days of remembrance, we can and should do more for our vets and their families.
Veterans day and Memoral day are both special to me. They are days to remember and honor our country's serving, served and fallen and our Culture's serving, served and fallen. On these days I especially remember my dad Marlin in World War II, and his fathers in World War Zero (WW0).

All human beings should know about all the major wars, for it is our best defense against having them happen again. 2009 Veterans Day, My Dad, Health Care and Me
Veterans day came this week and it reminded me of my dad and my time in the service. We both needed health care while serving and we got the best the Army had to offer. Shouldn't all citizens have access to quality health care?

Ronald Reagan Was First To Sell Health Fear
If you thought the "Health" Fear you are being sold now by the Republicans and MediPlex is new, think again. President Reagan was a fear master. He used the media of the day much like TV is used today to sell his fear. (Video)
The Medical Industrial Complex (MediPllex) was paying Reagan then to sell fear so they could do profit care instead of patient care, and they are paying for the fear you hear now, Don't believe the hype.

The Task is simple, we must make the Kennedy New American "Health" Care the best health care system in the world. Like the moon shot, we can make America #1
Preventing America from becoming number one is fear. Yesterday it was socialism today, it is socialism and "race". Don't be distracted by fear, your task and mine, should we decide to except, is to understand how we individually and collectively benefit from the President's three point plan.
Our President, the educator in chief, is doing everything he can to educate us citizens regarding his plan. He was on five major TV stations this morning (FOX News not included). On his web site he has laid out the what is in it for you. There is no excuse for not being in possession of the information on the plan that is out.
The President is doing his part, it is time for us to roll up our sleeves and do ours. I send my congressmen email everyday, on my Iphone, telling them what I want them to do. If you are for Kennedy "Health" Care Reform and you don't have an Iphone you can use the link in this article to talk to your congress persons. If you are for the status quo you also must contact your representatives and let the best man win.
Fear is simply a tactic to prevent the passage of Kennedy "Health" Care Reform by MediPlex. To much time is being spent on fear. The truth is, that the only thing we have to fear is fear itself. LET'S GET BUSY, and pass "Health" safety and security for all.

The first Health Care Town Hall Meeting - President goes to the people
After Gates/Crowley we need to start over. The meeting was a most remarkably inclusive discussion of issues from single payer to, education and wellness incentives. The new American Health Care will begin a revolution in health care. (Video)
This first thing I noticed was that their was no scripted questions. The people got to ask what ever they wanted to ask. Wow, what a breath of fresh air. I want a pure single payer system like Briton. However, the president says that is not where he is leading us. I believe we will end up with a mixed health care system with for profit medicine and single payer (Gov't Option) as the new American Health Care system.
The good news is that in this public discussion the public is learning something about the nuts and bolts of the broken system that exist and the working systems in other economically developed nations. They are coming to understand that we already have both a single payer system and a private system. The question before us is what will be the new goals, rules and mix as we move forward to bending the cost curve down.

What the L is a Blue Dog Democrat?
More importantly the question is will this group of Democrats vote for the budget and reducing health care costs or will they be Bush Dog democrats as they have been called in the past.
Like most people I have not followed politics as much before Obama as I am now. I missed these Blue Dogs. I remember their anti-humanist disgraced predecessors the Yellow Dog Democrats and the unreliable near criminal Boll Weevils (“Social Conservatives”). We understood these folks as they were self-confessed public enemy’s of African Americans.
Most of these Southern anti-humanist types where run out of the New Democratic Party and into the Republican Party in the 60’s. It is rumored that the New Democrats muted the voice of the relatively few anti-humanists left in the party by strangling them until they were blue. This is how they got their name as Blue Dogs.
The problem is these Blue Dogs have regrouped and now threaten the Obama budget from inside the Democratic Party. 51 “moderate” and conservative Democratic members of the house are part of the Blue Dog Democratic Coalition. Their official platform is “fiscal conservatism” but they got the name of Bush dogs by siding with him on the war, banksterism and the deregulation that brought us the Bush Depression of 2009.
The question is, will these Blue Dogs behave like Bush Dogs on the Democratic budget or American Blue Chip Dogs in favor of Jobs, health care, and education.
