Civil Rights Leader the Rev. Shuttlesworth Dies

Hetep and Respect one last time to a great civil rights soldier in one of the hot battles of the Cultural War c.1500 B.C.E. - 2011 C.E.

I remember as a young person watching the Rev. stand up to ol' `Bull' Connor, a criminally insane cop, who stood on the steps over him blocking African Americans from entering the building to register to vote. The Bull lunged at the rev and cracked him in the face with his billy club, blood went everywhere. The Rev. looked the Bull in his little cultural terrorist eyes and said, we are going to vote, you can beat us, but we will be back! (paraphrase)

As I looked for a video for this tribute to Rev. Shuttleworths I found plenty of history but what was needed as I found out was a way to let you feel what it might have felt like to sit in the Rev's church and feel his spirit. And to maybe let you feel what his life and passing is saying to your/our spirit today.
Let's Go To The Video Tape
To my Brothers and Sisters who fail to vote, do not fail the Rev. and us in 2012 - Wake the hell uP!

Remembering Rev. Fred Shuttlesworth Video 2:45 See and hear the Rev yourself.

To understand a Civil Rights Soldier you must understand the Cultural Terrorist he was fighting. Bull Connor controlled the police department and fire department in Birmingham Alabama, and filled them with other Cultural Terrorists.

To have a good look at the face of overt Cultural Terrorism in America in the 60's that Rev. Shuttlesworth, as one of the big three generals of the Civil Rights Battle of the Cultural War helped to defeat, watch this video Click HERE.

As the old dirty South type Republicans continue the war against Americans voting today, we can learn from the courage of our ancestor.

He transitioned at 89 instead of 120. This should remind us all to work to improve our physical health, Cultural Health and Spiritual Health so that we might maximize our time and purpose in this life.

Rev. Fred L. Shuttlesworth your country thanks you for your service to her. Your community thanks you and we continue to look to your leadership honorable ancestor.

R.I.P
Go to the lead video and feel the Rev's spirit one more time before you leave this part of the piece.

Civil rights leader the Rev. Shuttlesworth dies

BIRMINGHAM — The Rev. Fred L. Shuttlesworth, who was bombed, beaten and repeatedly arrested in the fight for civil rights and hailed by the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. for his courage and tenacity, has died. He was 89.

Martin Luther King Jr. for his courage and energy, died Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2011 at teh Birmingham, Ala. hospital. He was 89. (AP Photo/Dave Martin, File)
"My church was a beehive," Shuttlesworth once said. "I made the movement. I made the challenge. Birmingham was the citadel of segregation, and the people wanted to march."
In his 1963 book "Why We Can't Wait," King called Shuttlesworth "one of the nation's most courageous freedom fighters ... a wiry, energetic and indomitable man."
Birmingham Mayor William Bell ordered city flags lowered to half-staff until after Shuttleworth's funeral. Bell, who is black, said he would not be mayor if not for leaders like Shuttlesworth.
"I went to jail 30 or 40 times, not for fighting or stealing or drugs," Shuttlesworth told grade school students in 1997. "I went to jail for a good thing, trying to make a difference."
Alabama's first black federal judge, U.W. Clemon, said Shuttlesworth flung himself at injustice well knowing he could be killed at any moment. "He was the first black man I knew who was totally unafraid of white folks," said Clemon, who retired from the bench and is now a privately practicing attorney.
And in November 2008, Shuttlesworth watched from a hospital bed as Sen. Barack Obama was elected the nation's first African-American president. The year before, Obama had pushed Shuttlesworth's wheelchair across the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma during a commemoration of the Selma-to-Montgomery voting rights march — a moment Obama recalled Wednesday.
In the early 1960s, Shuttlesworth had invited King back to Birmingham. Televised scenes of police dogs and fire hoses being turned on black marchers, including children, in the spring of 1963 helped the rest of the nation grasp the depth of racial animosity in the Deep South.
. "He marched into the jaws of death every day in Birmingham before we got there," said Andrew Young, the former Atlanta mayor and U.N. ambassador who served as an aide to King.
"When God made Bull Connor, one of the real negative forces in this country, He was sure to make Fred Shuttlesworth." Lowery said.

What's Next in Wisconsin? Recall Scott Walker

I am with our fellow progressive who have shown us how to come off defense and go on offense in WI.

It took the Bush Republican criminal supreme court to keep Republicans in play in their own districts. We have had the dry run, now it is time to take Scott Walker out as we elect our President to a second term and give him a Dem house.

It is not the evil doers (Bush un-dead)who will destroy a nation but good people who sit home. We demonstrated we can turn out good people in bad Bush districts, so state wide Walker is as good as out.

Scott Walker recall expected to proceed

the fact remains that we gained ground, they lost it. Republicans held on to their majority — barely — by cashing in on their massive corporate support and the unlimited dollars which flowed from that support in the post-Citizens United era. But we changed the game and seized momentum heading into the next battles.
This David vs. Goliath fight, in which underdog progressives successfully took down two Goliaths

How Pelosi Saved Boehner's Butt

Hetep and Respect DEBEKI, Well said. This is a most edifying back story.

"Simply put, Pelosi is a leader ..."

Anyone who helped do the impossible, pass the Affordable Care Act, is a leader at the top of all time leaders. Here she demonstrates her leadership again.

She and her Dems also demonstrated that the Republicans not only said they were anarchist but they actually voted for anarchy. Once again it was rational Dems saving our nation from Republican Depression II.

Now, What should rational citizens do with self-admitted anarchist?

"...2012 can't come fast enough"

I'm with you on that! Write your congress persons and tell them thanks

Elect NO Republican for 100 years, starting in 2012

OK. Now back to JOBs, JOBs, JOBs

How Pelosi Saved Boehner's You-Know-What

The speaker, as it turned out, did not have enough Republican votes to pass the bill—only 174—and he had made no arrangement to guarantee its success. When there were minutes left for the vote, and it became apparent that Boehner would fall far short of the 216 votes necessary for passage, Pelosi's Democrats began voting in favor of the measure. "We were not going to let it go down," she told a small group of journalists on Wednesday morning.
In past years, a House speaker and the leader of the opposition, would probably confer before such a crucial vote and figure out how to move the legislation through the chamber.

Black President Bush Attacked Returns to Haiti

The Black President that Bush Attacked Returns home to Haiti. It should be remembered on this day that the Wicked Witch of the West Dr. Rice and General Powell supported this Culturally Treasonous act.

Jean Bertrand Aristide is the only duly elected President of the great Nation of Haiti. Bush a first order dupe of Cultural Terrorists attacked Haiti and kidnapped Aristide. But Bush made an error, he left the President with his cell phone so we were listening to the kidnapping live on Democracy Now here in New York City. The President of Haiti, was in communication with AA congress persons here in the states as Bush was trying to sneak him in to a French controlled African country.

To refresh your memory, you will recall that it was after President Aristide called for French reparations to pay back the money extorted from Haiti because they kicked Nepolion's butt. The French and most of the Western leaders have never forgiven the enslaved Africans for defeating Europe's best army at the time. The have worked clandestinely to keep Haiti the poorest nation in the Western hemisphere.

This time, can you see the French President, a known Cultural Terrorist, trying to explain to President Obama why he should prevent the duly elected president of Haiti from returning to his native country being that the country has said it is O.K. if he returns. Obama asks - why French say - we just don't like him, lol. They could not dupe the President.

It is great to watch his return.

LIVE BLOG: Democracy Now! Reports On Jean-Bertrand Aristide’s Historic Return to Haiti

Amy Goodman is aboard the South African plane that is bringing Haitian President Jean-Bertrand Aristide’s back to Haiti after seven years in exile. Sharif Abdel Kouddous is on the ground in Haiti. We will be posting updates here over the coming days.

Obama Refuses to Take Bush Rebup Tax Poison Pill

The President stuns Democrats and Republicans by Refusing to Take Bush Republican Poison Tax Pill. There are those that said the President should fight to prevent Republicans from giving the Rich 700 billion more of the middle classes money, he didn't. (Video)

Let's Go To the Video Tape

There are those in The MSM and bloggers that said the President has no backbone, not willing to stand and fight for what he believes. They said he would "Cave" on Tax cuts. Causing many Democrats to cower prematurely loose confidence in their leader who has won every major battle he has engaged the Republicans in. How soon we forget his gifts of effectiveness, foresight and decisive action to benefit the middle class and hard working Americans.

We also forget the dirty tricks nature of the Bush undead, but the President did not forget. He took note of Bush and the forty thieves saying They Set "Trap" For Obama That "Feels Pretty Good". They thought they left a poison pill for the President. That is a tax increase for the millions of middle class Americans making under two hundred and fifty thousand dollars, problem is, he did not swallow the Republican Tax poison pill.

He cut a far better deal with the few "sane" Republicans left standing then he will get from the Bag House that will take over in January. The 2 year temporary stay on reverse Robin Hood tax cuts for the rich puts the Republicans on the defensive. If Republicans now, after they have been given what they asked for, force hardworking Americans (99ers) to become destitute and raise taxes on all of the American middle class. The American people will know exactly who increased there taxes. You will notice they did not have the courage of their convictions to cause a massive tax increase, they compromised.

We should also duly note that the Republicans used this tax hostage situation to launch the first formal  clandestine attack on our/my Social Social Security.

Like Health Care Reform our President's smarts wins another victory for the American Middle class, working people and our recovering economy.

The battle cry going forward must be Stop The Republican ATTACK on SOCIAL SECURITY, elect the lock box candidate in 2012

Deal Maker - President Wins Release of American Economic Hostages from Republicans

like HCR, our president wins another another victory for the Middle Class.

Reagan Held American Hostages Now the Tea Party Holds American Hostages.

Remember when criminal Republicans held hostages to make Reagan President. The names have changed but we have the same bad actors in the Republican Party now called Baggers. What a track record.
More positive reviews of what President Obama did keep coming in. And by positive reviews, I mean negative reviews from the right wing. The Rush Limbaugh crowd hates the deal.

America Got Screwed - Recovery Over - TP Gridlock in

America officially Screwed itself yesterday. The recovery has ended, Tea Party Gridlock is official. The just say no Republicans have the congress but will pass nothing. So what happens to the American middle class?

First what happened, the Democrats got a shock the Bush undead are back. The corporate criminals bought the Supreme Court. The treasonous supreme court bought the election by ruling that corporations are human beings and can put unlimited money into electing  corporate shills to congress.

The bottom line is that corporate criminals were successful at joining forces with ignorance and hate in the Confederate Party, that drinks tea to defeat the will of the majority of American voters from the national election.

What does it all mean? it means the middle class is screwed. We are dead in the water. The government for all practical purposes is frozen. Recovery is dead, Education is dead, Health Care Reform will not improve. all efforts to take America to a new Green economy are dead, big oil is back. I hope I am wrong. but this is a big defeat for Dems and their middle class. The party of "no" was bad, the Tea Party is worse. I think their first major act will be to shut down the government.

The good news is that their are now enough wacko's in the congress that the President has something to run against, the Republican congress. The corporations will run Palin for President because she is an empty vessel like Reagan and Bush. Only a small part of the electorate (base 30%) vote in the midterm. So now Dems know what will happen if they do not show up at the polls. The National election is a different story, most thinking Americans are in. If we do not wake up in 2012 then the corporations will officially own America and we will be living in an empty democracy.

It will take some time to digest what just happened. Right now, I am very disappointed in America. It is hard to see the way forward, what do you think?

Al Sharpton Lin McCluskey Speak at One Nation Rally

The One Nation rally was billed as the Big Ed Labor Rally, the antidote to the Beck corporate rally. I think Lindsay and Al stole the show. Listen to them speak about education, the November mid term exam and connecting the biblical American bones. (Video)

Now I'm and Ed Head, and Ed is doing a fine job in keeping Jobs and Buy American on the front burners of our Nation. But if someone asked me who gave the better speech, Ed or Al, I might say Al. What would you say?

Seriously, we must compare who said what at the Labor rally and the corporate rally, if we are to make an informed judgement in November, as to how the Nation's agenda must move forward. Beck quoted the bible and told those assemble to "pick up a stick". I just heard Rev. Al quoting the bible and paint a picture for those assembled of a connecting American people of every stripe into One Nation working together.

As I vote in November, I have to ask myself, do I want Americans connected or carrying sticks. How do you answer that question for yourself?

The day after the march there was a bogus Cultural Anti-humanist One Nation YouTube Channel put up. The real One Nation YouTube channel is up now and you can hear any of the speakers you might have missed on this channel. Everyone did a good job and now we must keep the 10-02-10 call to action in play to 11-02-10

Who was your favorite speaker at One Nation and why?
