LED Vs. CFL Light Bulbs - Which is Better for a Green Future?

The Old incandesent bulbs use a lot of energy, get hot and burn out fast. CFL replaces them mainly because they use 1/3 less power, run cool to the touch and last much longer. The problem is they contain mercury (toxic substance). LED's are a new green hope for the future. (Video)

I have an LED flash in my Iphone 4, works great and doubles as a flash light that uses virtually no power and will probably out live me. Here is a link to some more info on LEDs. Look at the last video, guy doing in home live testing and talking.

I use CFL's now house wide. I know a local designer who made them with negative Ion Emitters built in. Naturally, I get a great wholesale price. Initial LED price will be an issue for many. However, if price is not an issue LED's are the way to go. If Green is your focus, then LED's at any price is the way to go.

Radio free you have convinced me to start test driving LED's. You are responsible for me putting an LED in one of Cultural Health Resource locations.

10 Commandments of Cultural Health News

There are the 10 commandments of main stream media news that most reporters follow. I write about Cultural Health so the "commandments" needed some modification. 

I am African American so my AA cultural Orientation is reflected in these commandments. If you are Asian American or Latino American modified, these commandments  will function for your ethnic group too, check it out and tell me what you think. 

1. Cultural News is at the intersection of  culture and News. Big news is where the pictures are in cyberspace and/or the video is on YouTube or supplied by a hyperlocal news reporter.

2. The Days news has to fit in 4 or five paragraphs or 1 to 2 minutes of video clip on your blog

3. Use Cultural Health phrase bites (like MSM sound bites) connected to Knols e.g. Cultural Poisoning, Cultural Literacy, Cultural Terrorism

4. Anything the First AA President does is potentially Cultural Health News. Anything done against him, friends or family is potentially Cultural Health News.

5. If the competition has it, carry it, but put your own cultural commentary on it. Your unique view from a Cultural Health perspective is what is added value to the story. e.g. Angry Blacks get more media attention than 'nice' Blacks. Other ways to get media are to be insanely rich (Oprah, Bill Cosby), or to rhyme (Muhammad Ali, Hiphop singer etc.). Or to be a Black Anti-Black, a Cultural Traitor like Clarence Thomas, Alan Keyes or Armstrong Williams. The competition my carry it but  the Cultural Health news task to shed light in dark places, play the good actors more then the bad actors an put the average man into the popular mix.

6. A little show biz doesn't hurt. That translates into, sometimes dramatic "racially" or politically charged headlines are needed to get peoples attention but then be serious and civil in content.

7. Cultural news follows the Network News which, has to follow the lead of the New York Times and/or the Washington Post, with imitations of the original story - Cultural Commentary added. Old Commandment superseded by Cultural News follows Cybernews like Newsvine, Google News, Twitter, Buzz, etc.

8. Visually unexciting stories are TOLD, while visually engrossing stories are SHOWN. Rodney King police beating or a Police shooting are shown while a story of institutional discrimination or invisible Cultural Poisoning is not told.

9. If it it did not happen today, it is not news anymore. Exception, cultural injustice anywhere at anytime is an injustice when I/public finds out about it. e.g. America infecting Latio's in Guatemala with syphilis 40 years ago is cultural news today, because we found out about it today.

10. Leave the viewers/readers thinking a little harder then they were before, and/or challenged to act.

Is The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Guilty of Treason?

The President raises and important question about the United States Chamber of Commerce. Are they taking money from foreign company's and/or governments to subvert the American political process? (Video)

First you should understand that the deceptive name, United States Chamber of Commerce, might lead you to believe it is part of government, it is not. It is the largest lobbying organization in the Nation. And has nothing to do with the government despite the "United States" in its trade name.

Let's Go To The Video Tape



The President has said, as reported on Hardball, "..two groups funded and advised by Karl Rove.....Just this week, we learned that one of the largest groups paying for these ads regularly takes in money from foreign sources. So the question...is, are you going to let special interests from ...maybe places beyond our shores ... tell us who our Senators  should be? That's not just a threat to Democrats but our democracy.


This brings up the question of Corporate Chamber of Commerce Treason, IMHO. The President has raised a flag that something is rotten in Denmark. Here is the DNC's first Chamber of Commerce Treason Ad. We must demand that the full financial records of the Chamber of Commerce be sent to a federal judge. If they have taken money from foreign corporations or governments and used that money to subvert the American voting system, they must be tried for treason.

The ultimate solution is for us to pass, what I am calling the Separation of Corporation and State constitutional amendment. I.e. no corporation can spend one red cent on lobbying or any political activity. This is the action needed to undue the treasonous damage done to our political process by the now disgraced Bush Supreme "Court".

This is a very important reason for our fellow Americans to go to the Polls in November and insure that the TeamAmerica we elected has the power to make this happen. Noting less then our democracy itself is at stake.

The Question is, did George Bush try to kill the first African Latino President in South America and "re- enslave" his people? If so, why? If this was done and the American people did not know about it and approve it, is it treason or otherwise against American law?

I wrote this back in 2002 but did not publish it. I thought today "Columbus day", was an appropriate time to revisit this indigenous people of Turtle Island issue. We should move to replace the Culturally unhealthy Columbus day with Native American day honoring our first citizens. This would begin to heal America's World War Zero crimes against humanity. Acknowledging our original sins is a minimum for moving our country forward beyond tolerance to harmony.

Meet Tea Party Loyd Marcus Cultural Traitor

African American Loyd Marcus is caught on tape By CNN committing  Cultural Treason. Like Clarance Thomas, every American, especially AA's, should know him on sight and treat him accordingly. (Video)

The Black person who is obviously and African in America is suffering from an overdose of Cultural Poisoning. Some will say that he simply sold out for money or fame. I disagree, while that is one reason for treason, Mr. Marcus goes far beyond this in standing with individuals like the woman in the video with the monkey insult to his ethnic group. He has also made a Athem song for the Confederate Party, that drinks tea.

Mr Marcus gets the Cultural Dishonor Award for October, 12,010 ASD, so let it be written.  The punishment for AA Cultural Treason is traditionally to be ostracized from the larger African community.  Mr. Marcus joins other award winners know to our community like Clarance Thomas, Armstrong Williams etc.

I recently came across an undated clipping declaring that there are ten commandments that govern what stories get on network news.

The writer, Frank Greve, declared it was no accident that all three networks had recently ended their broadcasts with a story about the guy who wears a chicken costume to sporting events. The uniformity had gotten so bad that on only three nights in a given April, did the networks open their broadcasts with a different lead story. Perhaps the cookie cutter mentality that produced such uniformity is what led to the loss of dominance when Americans go

Now I'm and Ed Head, and Ed is doing a fine job in keeping Jobs and Buy American on the front burners of our Nation. But if someone asked me who gave the better speech, Ed or Al, I might say Al. What would you say?

Seriously, we must compare who said what at the Labor rally and the corporate rally, if we are to make an informed judgement in November, as to how the Nation's agenda must move forward. Beck quoted the bible and told those assemble to "pick up a stick". I just heard Rev. Al quoting the bible and paint a picture for those assembled of a connecting American people of every stripe into One Nation working together.

As I vote in November, I have to ask myself, do I want Americans connected or carrying sticks. How do you answer that question for yourself?

The day after the march there was a bogus Cultural Anti-humanist One Nation YouTube Channel put up. The real One Nation YouTube channel is up now and you can hear any of the speakers you might have missed on this channel. Everyone did a good job and now we must keep the 10-02-10 call to action in play to 11-02-10
