The Republicans on the Deficit committee want to cut Social Security tell them Hell NO!. November 30, today, Hit your representatives in congress hard, call, email, let them know "Hands off Social Security"!
he Co-Chairs of the president’s Deficit Commission have proposed deep cuts to Social Security under the guise of reducing the budget deficit. They want to cut benefits for middle-class workers and reduce annual Cost of Living Adjustments. On top of that, they want to increase the retirement age to 69.
We must stop them!
Tuesday, November 30, is the National Call-In Day to say “No!” to Social Security and Medicare benefit cuts. We need every person to call their senators and representative and demand that they keep Social Security intact. Nothing can happen to Social Security unless Congress lets it.

We the American people, assuming jobs are back on track in 2012, must make putting the public Option back in HCR the number one election issue. When tables and chairs (Corporations,)who do not have the rights of humans, openly try to harm the American people they must be punished. The cat is out of the bag. In 2012, the only debate should be between single payer and a public option as the HCR upgrade. We must give the President and his party the massive mandate he needs to make this happen in the first 100 days of his second term.

In School, I learned that the Pilgrims had black hats and gold shinny buckles and sat down and had a wonderful meal with their friends the Native Americans in 1621. I thought this was the way things looked, because this is what my teachers and parents told me. This is not like Christmas, they wouldn't lie about this would they?
I was in middle age, before I learned that this was not the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help my teacher’s God. I would not say they “lied”, however, the Europeans that were invading Turtle Island did not have cloths as described. They whore much less flamboyant plain everyday work cloths. In addition, most Native Americans would tell you that these were not the friendliest folks that ever landed on Turtle Island.
Historians Joel A. Rogers, Dr. Rev. Ishakamusa Barashango and others report that 44 of the Pilgrims died in their first winter in America due to laziness and mental illness. Further, they report that not only did they fail to take the advice of the Native Americans regarding planting and providing for themselves. They actually stole corn from, killed and would eat the Native Americans and each other.

So what is the real story of Thanksgiving? Did European Americans eat with Native Americans or did European Americans eat Native Americans?
In Closing, let me point out that the reason for informing you about the "The Two Stories of Thanksgiving", is to cause all Americans to think more deeply about this important American holiday. Should we stop celebrating Thanksgiving, No! Thanksgiving should and can be a Culturally Healthy event. As a general proposition families getting together to celebrate family unity, and the harvests of family and friends for the year, is a good thing.
However, we must have an accurate picture of the past, if Ma'at (Truth, balance) is to be served in the present and the future. So the bigger question is, what stories do we tell our children, regarding early American relationships to Native Americans. This holiday is a time to ask ( or re-ask) ourselves, What is, and what ought to be, our political, social and spiritual relationship to Native Americans?

1) It makes it take longer to end up with a fortune. In fact it makes people build andearn a fortune, instead of shooting for quick windfalls. This forces long-term thinking and planning instead of short-term scheming and scamming. If grabbing everything in sight and running doesn’t pay off anymore, you have to change your strategy.
4) Combined with badly-needed cuts in military spending – we spend more on military than all other countries on earthcombined – taxing the wealthy ends budget deficits and starts paying off the massive Reagan/Bush debt. This reduces and ultimately eliminates the share of the budget that goes to pay interest. The United States now has to pay a huge share of its budget just to cover the interest on the borrowing that tax cuts made necessary. Paying off the debt would remove this huge drag on our economy. (Never mind that Alan Greenspan famously called for Bush’s tax cuts by saying it was dangerous to pay off our debt – now that same Alan Greenspan says we need to cut benefits to retired people because our debt is so high.)
Another way to think about America's challenge of paying for what she wants is the Maximum Wage concept. We have all heard about the Minimum Wage, but what is the relationship between the two and what should it be?
What we are really talking about in this article is a kind of basic financial cultural literacy necessary to understand American human development and human development in general. A nation's rising economic development does not necessarily lead to rising human development (health, education and welfare) for its citizens. Every citizen should have a working knowledge of these relationships if one is to vote in one's self-interest. Veterans day came this week and it reminded me of my dad and my time in the service. We both needed health care while serving and we got the best the Army had to offer. Shouldn't all citizens have access to quality health care?

Did you know that most veterans don't get Veterans Administration health care unless they have a service related illness/injury or meet means test requirements? This means many "middle class" Vets don't have VA or any other health care. 25% of the nation's homeless are veterans. 2,226 Uninsured Vets Died in 2008. Somehow these realities don't seem to me like we are remembering our veterans like we should.
Health Care Reform (HCR) is now law, did you notice that there are no provisions in this law for "no cost health care" for all veterans? It strikes me today, that on these days of remembrance, we can and should do more for our vets and their families. I propose that we make the next HCR adjustment the addition of "No Cost, Veterans Administration Health Care benefits, including dental, for all veterans for all time. I would like to call it the Veterans No Cost HCR Amendment.
This year America is at a cross roads that can profoundly effect our veterans for decades to come.In the Midterm Election (R)egressives have been elected to the house of Representatives. They have told the American People not only do they plan not to help our veterans but hurt veterans like me by revoking HCR and social security. My question to you is, how can we get the Regressives to be Progressive on the Veterans No Cost HCR Amendment? If we can not get the Regs to stand with our Vets, How do we get the job done anyway?
Veterans day and Memoral day are both special to me. They are days to remember and honor our country's serving, served and fallen and our Culture's serving, served and fallen. On these days I especially remember my dad Marlin in World War II, and his fathers in World War Zero (WW0).
If you are one of the 2+ Billion Black people in the world you should know about WW0. All human beings should know about all the major wars, for it is our best defense against having them happen again. If you are an African American in the military you have a duty to know about WW0, WWI and WWII, not just the last two.

But when that streak was broken—and, for the first time, a non-white president accepted the oath of office—white America rapidly began to lose its grip.

At first the title of this piece just seemed funny and a little over done, hmm,
The Bush vs. Obama Jobs graph shows the last 3 years ending in October 2010 with a video explanation of what it means. The second Democrat vs. Republican Jobs graph shows the job growth under the last 11 Presidents. In 5 minutes you can cut past all the Jobs doublespeak and look at the job facts by party.
If this is the reality, what happened in the mid term election. The criminal corporation's Astroturf Tea Party frightened and duped the American people, based on their Republican PR philosophy that the masses are asses and we can sell them anything.
This job creation reality that we are experiencing is consistent with Democrat vs Republican historic job creation facts see graph below:
What does it show? Under Democratic presidencies, job creation goes up. Every Democrat who followed a Republican did better than the Republican who preceded them. Every Republican who followed a Democrat produced fewer jobs than their predecessor.
And before anyone jumps on the "but that was because they got all the jobs that were started up under the previous administration," notice that where Republican followed Republican, the second administration came out worse than the first. When Democrat followed Democrat (for which we don't have nearly enough examples) job creation improved in the second administration.
And we can be thankful that McCain didn't follow Bush. Based on the pattern, we'd be down 8 million jobs by the time Palin finished off the first term.

A British exhibit focusing on the African Bible "Book of the Dead" follows ancient Egyptians' journey from death to the afterlife. The West continues to improve its understanding of Classical African Civilization, Kemet (Ancient Egypt) Spirituality and Religion with this exhibit.
The video Should be viewed with a Cultural Health grain of salt for example, "The book of the Dead" is a culturally poisoned term used by invading grave robbers who stole the African Bible more properly called the Nuk Au Neter, from the tombs of buried Africans.

The Nuk Au Neter was a testament to the positive life of the deceased African who it was buried with. It would contain spiritual elements of the departed's life like the 42 Commandments a subset of which, we still find in the modern religions of our day, Along with Classical African Words like Amen.

Cultural commentary:
Physical Health is important and those who attack our physical health with food poisoning for profit should be stopped. The golden arches of death should not be allowed to use the spider (clown) and toys to trick children into eating those gut bombs they call hamburgers . Children are not yet able to defend their health and may adults are not smart enough (can't overcome the immoral advertising to their children) to defend their children's health.
America officially Screwed itself yesterday. The recovery has ended, Tea Party Gridlock is official. The just say no Republicans have the congress but will pass nothing. So what happens to the American middle class?
First what happened, the Democrats got a shock the Bush undead are back. The corporate criminals bought the Supreme Court. The treasonous supreme court bought the election by ruling that corporations are human beings and can put unlimited money into electing corporate shills to congress.
The bottom line is that corporate criminals were successful at joining forces with ignorance and hate in the Confederate Party, that drinks tea to defeat the will of the majority of American voters from the national election.
What does it all mean? it means the middle class is screwed. We are dead in the water. The government for all practical purposes is frozen. Recovery is dead, Education is dead, Health Care Reform will not improve. all efforts to take America to a new Green economy are dead, big oil is back. I hope I am wrong. but this is a big defeat for Dems and their middle class. The party of "no" was bad, the Tea Party is worse. I think their first major act will be to shut down the government.
The good news is that their are now enough wacko's in the congress that the President has something to run against, the Republican congress. The corporations will run Palin for President because she is an empty vessel like Reagan and Bush. Only a small part of the electorate (base 30%) vote in the midterm. So now Dems know what will happen if they do not show up at the polls. The National election is a different story, most thinking Americans are in. If we do not wake up in 2012 then the corporations will officially own America and we will be living in an empty democracy.
It will take some time to digest what just happened. Right now, I am very disappointed in America. It is hard to see the way forward, what do you think?
