Daytona 500 Results Trevor Bayne Win 2011

If you missed the race here are the highlights in 7 minutes, what a finish! I will also tell you how to run a Daytona 500 on your cell phone. (Video)

The biggest single day sporting event in America. The stands hold 160,000+. I have seen 200,000 attendance estimates in the past and 2011 was a record crowd.

Let's Go To The Video Tape

I built a couple of cars at Brooklyn Automotive High School in New York and use to do a little racing when I was younger. I watched the 500 all the time when I was a kid. I was actually at the Daytona track one year and took a one lap tour around the track.

Today I saw the pre-race show, then went for my Sunday swim at the club, came back and watched the last 30 laps. Man those cars can move 9,000 RPM 200+ MPH.

Well in my elderhood I am now restricted to racing on my Iphon 4, Real Racing 2 has many tracks but one of them, King's Speedway, is an oval track. I don't think you have the stamina or focus to go 200 laps like in the Daytona 500 but you can probably make it for four laps on the Ipad/Iphone.lol

See, you made it through 4 laps, congratulations. On the Iphone you can run your car in automatic or various levels down to manual.  That gas pedal on the lower right of the screen is the manual accelerator. Going around the big oval is a lot harder then you think, but it is great fun and for elders it builds new neurons in the brain. Study's demonstrate that the brain can repair itself and create new pathways. Doing things that are new can renew your brain. Doing things that are fast like driving at 200  MPH can speed up brain function and improve memory.

Now if you want to see me burn this track up in a 44 second time trial Click Here Don't laugh, let's see you do better. Feel free to post a link to your run in the comment section. lol.

Note: Iphone has Real Racing 2 and BMW F1 Sauber racing. I am sure they will be ported to the android soon. Thanks for stopping buy good racing.

75% of the Americans Will Be Obese by 2015, African Americans are in Worst shape

Yes, your right, this is not a Culturally Healthy or Physically Healthy picture, neither is the research behind it.

Researches have revealed that in 2003 and 2004, 71 % of the adult men and 67 % of the adult women in the US were overweight or obese, with an obese adult population of 33 %. The number of Black Americans is even higher: about 80 % of black women aged 40 or over are overweight and 50 % are obese.

Improving your cultural health includes physical health. If we Americans do not manage our physical health, we will not have to worry about our National Cultural Health, as we may not be hear to enjoy it.

If you want a reason to go to the polls in November and elect a Democrat, this is one more reason. The President and the Dems have moved on Health Insurance reform with some focus on prevention. The First Lady has launched her lets move program to help our children. On the other hand we have Anti-Vitamin McCain and the Confederate Party, that drinks tea (Republicans) opposed to getting Americans more healthy.

The Republicans are counting on us not showing up at the polls in an off year election. Let's prove them wrong again, we Americans do know what time it is. We do want each other to enjoy better health.

Black History Month - AA's Dropping like flies - Oprah, Dr. OZ & Diabetes.

February is Black History Month and I usually write a traditional article on Cultural Health. However, if your physical health is shot, Cultural Health will not mean what you think it means. I suggest that we need to use this February to focus on physical health and our quality of life. (Video)

One hundred African Americans a day are dieing from Diabetes. 80 million people in America have this disease. Many of my friends and family have or know someone with this illness, How about you and yours.

Let's go to the video tape:

If you want to do something concrete to help improve America's National Cultural Health and its physical health this Black History month, I suggest you call your congressional representative in support of passing the "Health Care" Reform (HCR) that has gotten through both houses.

Yes, it is badly effecting the African American and Latino American community but it is a Western epidemic. As America's Dr. OZ points out it does not matter what party or ethnic group you are part of, diabetes cost us Americans 174 Billion Dollars a year and this cost will double.

I conclude that these numbers are under counts. I mean I can see people everyday in New York that I bet have diabetes and don't know it, and have not been to a doctor in years, because they can not afford it. Come on America, We can do better! We are better then this. Pass HCR Now, it is a start.

Everyone in America should have access to quality sick care and we as individuals better start working on our own health care.

The Presidents Back And Health Care Reform is on Track

While the cats away the mice will play, but last week, the President came back and gave the what's in it for you speech that completely changed the debate. In August the Republicans mounted a Health Scare Reform counter attack and now find themselves in Check.

I ran a story last week on Newvine with the speech video, President Hits Heath Care Ball out of Park. The discussion that ensued and listening to the main stream media, made it clear to me that many did not understand the objective of the speech and the outcome as I see it.

The objective of the speech was to return what had become the Republican "Health" Scare Debate, back to the "Health" Care Debate headed for reform passage. The President by telling the people what's in it for them, and with some help from Republicans, miraculously move the health care ball far more forward then I thought was possible

Everyone should have walked away from the speech focused on what details come out of the five congressional committees that meet the objectives of President's three point plan essential for him to sign the bill. If you have Health Insurance he laid out what you get. If you don't have Health Insurance he laid out what you get. He also explained the financial goals of HCR and how he plans to achieve them. So my question to you is:

What is in Kennedy "Health" Care Reform for you?

What part of the Presidents Thee Part Plan do you like/dislike and why?

1. Have insurance: you get Security and stability (Dirty Tricks outlawed)

2. No Insurance: Quality, Affordable Choice (Exchange - Same as Congress + Public Option)

3. Financial Goals: Reduce Cost and Revenue Neutral

Ted Kennedy a Remarkable Cultural Humanist, Dies at 77

Hetep and Respect Ted Kennedy, thank you for your positive life, your contributions to the Nation and your support of the African American community. (Video)

It is to this day, not uncommon to find two pictures of public figures on the walls of elder AA's King and Kennedy. Both were good examples of improved and improving Cultural Health in America. Kennedy and his family hold a special place in our harts.

I listened to the eulogy for his brother and it has given me pause this day to reflect on this most remarkable Irish American family of great Cultural Humanists.

Ted's Dream, as he recently expressed it, was health care for all as a right not a privilege. As we move forward in September to pass New American "health" Care, everyone in - no one out, a new Health Care battle cry will rise up in the American People.

Remember The Kennedy Dream!

RIP Ted, Amen

Republicans Want Americans to Get Health Care in Animal Stalls.

We know the Republican AstroTurf Health Care Mobs are against "Health" Care Reform. The question is what are they for? Democracy Now and MSNBC reported the answer. (Video)

The Anti-humanest Republicans have been trying to scare the elderly and addled brained with Presidential Death Panel outright lies. They are happy that Health Insurance profits are up 422% and that the number of insured Americans has dropped 18%.

Think you have good insurance and don't need "Health" Care Reform (HCR). Remember the movie John Q, when "Health" insurance and Hospital dirty tricks kick in, you could be the next American to find yourself being placed in an Animal stall for treatment.

If you want to improve your understanding of the actual state of Health care in America Click Here. If Obama wants to continue to regain reform momentum in September, as he has in August, he should do a town hall meeting from A Remote Area Medical care giver location during the first week of September, and see if the Republican HC mob has the testicular fortitude to show up and face sick Americans who don't have medical insurance.

A RAM Town Hall meeting would seal the deal for passage of "Health" Care reform in September.

White Cop Attacks Black Ambulance Personnel

You have to see the Video to believe the willful disrespect for the life and health of African Americans. If your mother is in an Ambulance you better be in there with her with a video camera.

The cop choking the African American should be fined a minimum of fifty thousand dollars, fired and barred from working with the public for life. All these cops should be disciplined and their record with the African American community investigated for patterns and practices unbecoming a police officer.

Full Story Click Here

The officer who calmed the out of control cop down may deserve a medal. However, he should be disciplined for not arresting the criminal cop on the spot. The district attorney should be fired and disbarred for not bringing charges and the head of the state police should be relieved for allowing this criminally insane cop to remain a threat to the health and welfare of the good citizens of his jurisdiction.

Africa the Mother of Medicine

"I have heard that history belongs to the victors. This may be true but only on a small time scale. Truth finally catches up. Hippocrates, the Greek physician, is considered to be the father of medicine. This falsehood persists worldwide in spite of growing evidence to the contrary. If medicine does have a parent, it is East Africa. In 2009, I published an article in the Townsend Letter entitled 'The Eastern Track of Medicine: From East Africa to South India—and Beyond' to put forth my hypothesis concerning the African origin of the earlier healing traditions."
